  Any significant differences between this and the 13 5000 series deal for $1119? Specs seem almost identical other than a bigger battery on the 5000 series at the loss of a backlit keyboard.

    7000 series has smaller dimensions and is also 200g lighter. Another difference which I am not 100% sure about is the difference in the Wifi chip, where I think the 7000 series one is a bit better but probs not noticeable. Also the 7000 series has a USB Type-C port while the 5000 has a normal USB port in place of it.

    Another unimportant detail is that the 5000 series comes with a HDMI 1.4 port while 7000 series comes with 2.0. That just means limited 4k output from the 5000 series laptop.
