By far the cheapest price I've been able to find for the latest season of Pandemic Legacy. There is a limited number of Black (6 at time of posting), but there's more than 10 of Yellow.

If you're a Pandemic fan and haven't tried Legacy, definitely go get Season 1. It's an absolute blast!

A cooperative legacy game for two to four players, Pandemic Legacy: Season 2 immerses players in a harrowing tale of survival. It is seventy-one years after the events of Pandemic Legacy: Season 1, and humanity has been brought to its knees. A network of the last known cities persists, supplied by the “havens,” isolated stations floating in the ocean far from the plague. Three generations of survivors have called the havens home. Most of them have never set foot on the mainland. But now supplies are running low and the people have turned to you to lead. It is up to you to save what remaining cities you can and stop the world from ending for good.

Over the course of a year, you and your team must search for answers to the vicious plague while maintaining your supply network.     Great game and good follow up for Season 1.
    Even if you're not a huge pandemic fan, they're great to play through, though if you really hate pandemic, probably give it a miss!

    Also, Season 1 played pretty well with 5 players even though it's designed for up to 4.

      My reason i haven't bought season 1 (along with already having base, OTB and ITL expansions) is that i'd be playing through with just myself and my wife.
      Going to test out the legacy game with Charterstone next month. If its a hit might go back to get season 1 when its cheaper.

      Also, we are lucky to get 1 game a month in with children around. So a whole season will take forever. Already got a wall of shame of 80 games that don't get enough play.

        My wife and I did season 1 as a couple and had a blast. Works fine 2P IMO.

    How do the Legacy games play if you don't have regular people playing?

    e.g.
    - one play through you have 2 people
    - next play through you have 4 people
    - next play through you have 3 different people

    etc

      I would recommend you get the same people playing the whole way through, but it technically works with any number and any people each session, they'll just miss out on storyline, and seeing the consequences of their actions, and the progression as their characters develop.

      Not recommended unless you would never play it otherwise.

      To echo what Shwayne said, I wouldn't recommend playing this game with different people each time. Decisions that you make in earlier playthroughs affect what happens in subsequent playthroughs. The impact will be lost on the new players, since they didn't contribute to these decisions.

      Also, new rules are added each month of the game (month = 1-2 playthroughs), so if someone new joins in during month 8 for example, they might be overwhelmed by all the extra rules that have been added.

    Even if Pandemic is your least favourite board game, Pandemic Legacy is leagues ahead and is overall an absolutely fantastic board game experience if you have a regular group to play it with.

    Just started on season 2 and so far it's going fairly well!

      Just a heads up, in case you (or anyone reading this) are unsure, that the original Pandemic is not Pandemic Legacy: Season 1 :)

      Still an amazing game though and the expansions are a lot of fun too.

        I usually play the Android version, but it doesn't really work for board game night at the dining table.

      The original Pandemic is a good shout if the theme appeals - it's cooperative so you can work together rather than be competitive. Otherwise something like Patchwork could be good - or check out the recommendations from this thread:

      Good gateway games my wife and I have played together the most are:
      - Caracassonne
      - Pandemic
      - Ticket to Ride
      - Dominion

      As mentioned, co-ops like Pandemic are a good start cause there's minimal table flipping.
      The other three have pretty light conflict to ensure you play at least two games!

      Forbidden Island and Forbidden Desert are quite good co-ops.

      Not too involved but interesting with alternate card layouts.

          TBH I would start with season 1 - Season 2 is very differnt to normal pandemic.

          You can get season 1 from Amazon pretty cheap.

          I think total you should be looking @ around $80 AUD landed that would be a good price. I split it between my playgroup so $20 each which works out pretty reasonable for the time you will invest (took us a while to play through it all).

          Pulled the pin on a copy of Season 1 as well on the weekend - should arrive sometime this week.

          When last week began I had no idea I'd be splashing $180 on two board games (both seasons) I'd previously never heard of. Hopefully I like it!

          Season 1 is a blast, get a good group, its a pretty hard game. Losing a month isn't that bad as you get the game end upgrades regardless and you get to add the unfunded events to your player deck. Losing a few in a row can be demoralising though, need a resilient group.

          To add to this; make sure you play a few games of basic Pandemic before you start trying to play the campaign (you can do this by following instructions in the rulebook)
