thanks I don't know how I missed that!
The IPS is a bit weak. After calibration is acceptable but not the best.
Apparently, the TN panel is abysmal though - I'd take "weak" over atrocious any day!! :D
I think I'm just gonna wait a bit longer and get the Aero 14.
So whats the difference between this and XPS models? Why is this cheaper than the XPS models when this one has better specs?
XPS models are sleeker, better lighter build, look nicer and have more premium finish, it is more suited for a 'business-use' scenario , while this is consumer line
Inspiron line has plasticky build quality, not as premium. The gaming Inspirons pack better GPU's and better cooling however, at the expense of weight
How about this one for $1519 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Inspiron-15-7000-Gaming-Core…
?Do you need the i7? Most games won't utilise the extra performance.
Was a bit bummed that I missed out on the Lenovo E570p when it was around $1050 but this seems like a much better laptop given it actually has decent cooling and a 4GB 1050ti vs the gimped 2GB version on the Lenovo. Also, the Lenovo seems to have wifi issues and I haven't heard of any similar issues with this.
Anyone here have one of these and can give a quick review?
here is a YT review 14 minutes.

Is this a good laptop for Photoshop and light video editing (e.g. Youtube clips)?
Yes, although it might get outshined by upcoming Ryzen mobile processors.
Is it limited to one SSD? Man, I wish they'd all go to M.2 & keep/offer a 2nd bay…
Does this version have the IPS panel?
