    Over time oils oxidise and go rancid. Rancid fish oil may actually do more harm than good. If your gonna buy fish oil supplement buy the freshest you can.

    It was in an epside of Adam Ruins Everything I think. The reason you get those horrible smelling fish burps after eating these things is because the oil inside has already gone rancid. It's still safe to eat I guess
