On lowest they have been is around $200, I’m holding out for that price
yep, I bought this a month or so for $199 'club price', and got $20 club credit back.
haven't; used it yet, but I did unbox and assemble the handle. yep it feels all of the 45kg it is listed as.
as for price difference, there a two things to consider.
lifting 'travel' is 450mm
capacity is 3TI had been monitoring jack prices in the lead up to EOFY, and only made the purchase recently based on price & lifting travel. too often I have find myself having to jack, support and rejack to get desired height with my old jacks.
That sounds a little more reasonable at under $200!
I think it’s also because of the 3000kg limit. All the ‘cheaper’ ones I’ve seen are <2000kg. For a sedan car it would suffice, but for 4WDs this one is probably much better.
Yeah, but a low profile 4WD?
I think 3k for a low profile jack is overkill. 2k (or even less) would be fine considering you're never lifting the entire car on the jack.
Overkill for sure, I agree with you :) I was just referring to the weight because it seems like anything over 2000kg = expensive.
it was club price $209 just a few days a go was going to get it but ended up with the kinchrome 3000T one as it got better reviews. Unfortunately the kinchrome wasn't in the same 40% sale.
There apparently there's a decent costco one people rave about but we dont have costo here in the west :(
Thanks mate, will check out the local Costco to see what they have. I'd be happy for sub $200.
Costco have low-profile, heavy-duty jacks for ~$180, FYI!
Saw that few months ago but not anymore last week when I went there
No reason for these low profile jacks to be so much more expensive than a normal jack :(.
I can understand a small increase, but $350 for a jack? Come on.
Even at the reduced price of $250 its too much.
