160

Appears to be a very good offer and with not much of a scope of going wrong with a No Annual Fee for first year.
If you apply for a new NAB Rewards Platinum Card, you'll earn 80,000 Bonus Points plus $100 Webjet voucher, when you spend $2,500 within 90 days of account opening.

Have a great weekend. Cheers!

Note:
Received this via email however not sure if this is targeted offer as nothing in the link specifically mentions that it's meant for select few and other applications will be rejected. However, feel free to correct me and mark it 'Targeted' if otherwise.

  • Targeted, see comments in the previous deal.

  • How much are the annual fees?

The rewards look more generous than the commonwealth rewards card I have had

    • Annual card fee: $195. That seems excessive, but I had no idea about this stuff.

Targeted. Don't apply if you don't get the email.

    This is the public offer.

Anyone with an NAB card - What is their points conversion rate to Airline Partners please?
    (Asia Miles, Velocity, and Airpoints)

    • +1

yeah I have this card, last time I checked, it was 3 NAB points to 1 AM points, not sure about the others though

it is buried in here somewhere

      • Thanks, yep you have to sign in to your CC account to be able to see them.

I managed to find the info somewhere before I signed up, but it was really convoluted and I can't remember where it was exactly……

anyway, just log into my account, looks like transfer is at a minimum of 3000 NAB points, the transfer rate for every 3000 NAB points are:

          • 15 Airpoints
          • 1000 Asia Miles
          • 1500 Velocity points

          hope this helps

    Hi all,

This is a great offer and credit cards offering bonus points like this is good.

Working in finance myself, just be careful how often you apply for different card with these offers as I have seen quite a few people over the years who credit files are really damaged due to the number of credit checks they make for this stuff. Certainly don't want to tell anyone how to suck eggs of course, just want to make sure you are aware of the fact that too many credit checks in a relatively short space of time can limit your ability to actually obtain credit.

Cheers and have a good weekend

How would one know how many credit checks they have? What is too many? How long do they take to disappear…Does cancelling a card have any effect? I've currently got 8 cards over 2 yeas and my credit score is in the very good category ..whatever that means? Looking to cancel 7 and go again.

Hi there. Everyone can get a copy of their own credit report from Equifax (was Veda but Equifax bought them out) and you can use this link https://www.mycreditfile.com.au/faq/can-i-get-free-copy-my-c…

There is no real science to credit scoring and each of the banks have their own way of doing things. The main thing to remember is that each time you make an application for credit, this will reduce your credit score a little bit. As time passes without you applying for any other credit facilities, your credit score will then increase again because it is clear that you are managing the credit facilities you have applied for. The issue with constantly applying for credit cards is that each application reduces your credit score whilst people may not be allowing enough time for their credit score to go up again. There is no exact answer to this.

I work in a home loan cash back mortgage business and often come along clients that banks decline for mortgages as they have too many credit applications on their files. Even though people are managing the facilities they take out, the bank (and quite often their system algorithm decisions process) deems a credit file with lots of applications for unsecured credit facilities as higher risk because the credit behaviour shows an appetite for credit in general.

So whilst it can be great to get all the bonus points and take advantage of varying interest free credit card offers, just be careful you are not actually damaging your credit file ….again no science to this although I would say around 2 per year is the max anyone should do, maybe 3 every two years.

        Hope this helps :)

  • Some companies have a way that you can go to your account and register to be notified of offers. I just searched my NAB account and cannot find this option. Does anyone know if can/how?

  • Fyi 80,000 points we can exchange to $400 in Woolworths gift cards. And can sell webjet voucher for $75 I guess? Not bad.

  • Anyone can advise 80k points equals to how many Qantas/Velocity points ?

    • 40k velocity points.

      • Then better apply for ANZ credit card. Its so much better

  • Do thess guys have a 12month between cards requirement like And? Currently have this card and was waiting for the November 15% velocity bonus. But if I can cancel and go again…
