    Local stock too, good price

How about tax receipt? Im going OS next month would be nice to get tax back :)

Edit: read the listing and it is included Nice!

  • Is the version 2 worth the slightly higher price tag? As far as I can tell the only new feature is a google assistant/noice cancellation level switch.

    • +8

      two main differences:
      1) google assistant (meh)

      2) noise cancelling adjustment button to cycle between high, low or off while in wireless mode

    • Can you find the QC35 new at a cheaper price? It seems Bose stopped production some time before QC35 ii was released and so there wasn't a huge surplus of old stock to discount and get rid of.

      • +3

I was hanging out for a deal on the version 1s, hadn't really considered they'd go out so quickly.

    • +1

      Short answer: no.

  • +1

I'd recommend getting this only if you don't already have a pair of NC cans, as the step up from the QC35 and the QC35 II is minimal (the noise cancellation level can be controlled on the app and the Google Assistant isn't completely necessary).
Personally I'll be holding onto my QC35 for the foreseeable future, until maybe if QC45 comes out with earthquake silencing NC.

  • Whilst the jump from the Qc35s to the gen 2s isn’t huge, I’m pretty excited to jump in now as a 25 owner. Been wanting wireless for a while. Can anyone advise if the google assistant works with iPhone though? I.e. can I press the button and say OK Google play… from Apple Music etc. or because iPhone uses Siri it doesn’t really work as well?

    • I have one, and just switched the button to be my noise cancelling switch. Google Assistant is neutered on iphone. Google assistant is better than Siri with an android phone, but on iphone it sucks so far.

  • Don't get these for online gaming if you use voice chat too. It loses stereo feature and I had issues adjusting the mic down to eliminate keyboard sounds.

I clicked on the link and they show full price….. $475

      There's a coupon code for 20% off …

Your username checks out, your emotion must be -.-

    • Sorry.. I'm new to the site. Thanks for letting me know about 20% discount. :)

  • How does the sound quality compare to 25? (Bluetooth vs cord)

    • 35s have better sound quality

      • Agreed, my 25's sound much flatter than the 35's (specifically the gen 2's which I borrowed on the weekend). It's not that the 25's are bad, its just that the 35's sound less like the classic 'Bose' of old :P

        • Yeah, they made a significant improvement particularly to the bass through the latest firmware updates which i'm not sure whether the qc25s can get.

    • Can confirm that the original qc35 came with the aeroplane adapter and aux to ?mini-aux cable. Don't know for sure if these come with it but I'd be surprised if they didnt

      • Reviews say they removed it and is now an optional accessory.

    • +2

Not worth it, buying it separately from Bose directly for $9 is cheaper.

      • Thanks Confiliate!!

Many airlines don't require two pins now, even if their own headphones have two.

  • The Wirecutter site still has qc25 as best noise cancelling headphones. If I don't care about wires, am I right to get 25s to save $100?

  • +1

Weren't people saying in the main eBay deal thread these have been price jacked?

    • Yes. The lowest you usually get these for on ebay is around $430 so this is a good deal even with the hike.

  • Bose QC35 II or Sony WH-1000XM2? Probably the price is the biggest difference at the moment, as the latter has hardly any stock anywhere.

    • I would go for the sennheiser pxc550 =/

Picked one up for the missus and I'm insanely jelly. better build quality, better fit and comfort. ANC isnt nearly as good as Bose but the deficit is not obvious.

I've never had the opportunity to try sony's though

    • Yup, I'm also waiting for the new Sony to go on sale as well. Can't find any on this sale.

Hopefully I can get one at a good price in time before my next flight in Dec.

    • I had the original 1000x, and I reckon both sound and noise cancelling were far better than the QC35 ii. The reason I eventually went for the Bose, is because the hinge on the Sonys broke, two different pairs, in the exact same place after a couple months of well looked after usage. The Bose hinge seems to have a stronger build quality. I am a bit bummed though, as quite frankly, walking through busy melbourne streets, the sonys made it completely silent(even the loudest of sounds seemed to be gone once volume of music was at about 50%), where as the bose, high pitched sounds seem to cut right through everything. I'm not sure if it is just m head shape and the size of the cans (The sonys was a little larger and may have made a better seal with my head).

  • +1

Yeh it was $435 then went up to $475 when the deal started.
If it stayed at $435 I would have bought a pair today.

    • As would have many other places…… and the stockists would have no doubt made a horrible loss.

  • +1

The new ones are 310g compared to the old 234g. They're now heavier than ATH-M50's. Might make a different for some people.

    • +1

This is strange, most YouTube reviewer have measured them as the same or slightly lighter than original Qc35, but on Bose website it indeed says 310g.

      • Interesting. It was weighed on camera, so the Bose site must be wrong. Maybe they're accidentally stating the weight of the headphones including the case or something.

    • +2

Getting a hair cut should compensate for the extra weight.

    • Extra 76 gram can cause stress on Neck muscles 💪🏼

  • Why avgreatbuys over video pro again? Cheers.

  • I'd rather have new Sony wf 1000x which is cheaper and fancy. A true wireless device.

    • also cracks at the hinge - class action coming up against them!

      • too late to know, just brought one.

        • Yeah, I had to return two pairs of the Sony for this reason (my last pair of head phones lasted me 4 years before I wanted to upgrade to noise cancelling and wireless). The Sony's noise cancelling and sound quality were far superior in my opinion, but I've gone the Bose now simply because I was done with the hinge breaking (took about 3 months each pair).

        • @ONEMariachi: which model did you return?! I believe the model I am talking about hasn't on Au market yet. Sony wf 1000x is more like a noise cancelling Airpod.

        • +2

@armedgoat: Ahh yep, my bad, I thought you were talking about the WH-1000XM2. I had the original MDR 1000x headset.

        • +1

          @ONEMariachi:

          Same, my bad

        • @ONEMariachi: yeah I thought the same thing. Original model is MDR1000X and the new model is WH1000XM2

    • Hi where can you find the sony headphones cheaper?

      • I think eBay got 5% off site wide voucher code today. didn't find anything else

  • Anyone have that first world problem where the audio cuts out when you’re walking with your iPhone 6 in your left pocket? I realise the workaround is to use your right pocket, or (gasp) wear the QC35 backwards. But c’mon!!

    • +1

Actually noticed that using my S8 the other day, phone was in my left pocket

    • I always put my phone on the left too!

    • Does it work if your phone is in the back pocket?

      • I wouldn’t know, my phone goes in my left pocket.

    • Yep, the stuttering happens for me too, on an iphone 7

    • Actually. I found that you can keep the phone in the left pocket but keep the lcd side of the phone facing away from your body, it seems to work flawlessly for me.

  • May be buy here and claim the price difference from another store with ebay price match

    • May not work if a coupon code is applied

      • Doesn’t seem to mention that in terms and conditions?

  • Edit: nevermind….just noticed that mobileciti isn't included in the 20% off deal.

  • sounds good, Im traveling soon so i get an extra 10% GST back

    • I've either been living under a rock or just oblivious. How's the 10% back work?

      • +2

Here you go Adam, it's called the Tourist Refund Scheme, where if you buy an eligible (>$300) item in the 60 days prior to boarding an international flight out of Oz, you get to have a GST refund :)

        • Thanks! Definitely something I'll have to look into!

  • What are these like without noise cancelling. I have Sennheiser TR180 headphones and looking for something with better quality sound and a bit more comfortable or should I look at something else?

    • If you aren't using them for noise cancelling you should look elsewhere.

      • thanks, any suggestions?

        • There was a recent thread for recommendations but I'd suggest that you do your own research since headphones are really subjective. If solely for home use, try the Fidelio x2s or akg k712pros

        • @Baebs: Ok thanks yes they both look good but corded. I guess wireless headphones are not going to be good. I was hoping for something wireless better than I had with the Wireless Sennheiser TR180 headphones

  • +3

Videopro same price. Local stock. Unlike In Style Hi-Fi, they offer 30 day returns AND have brick and mortar stores you can walk into. I've bought from them before. Fast shipping and no fuss.

  • Geez! That's a very good price. I paid $438 last week and I was happy with the deal.

  • Just bought one but disappointed they charge $6.60 for pick up. Last time I could pick up from them for free.

  • it was $350.40 2 months ago in OZBARGAIN.
    SO NO DEAL

    • Was that mk2?

      • Yes. That was the time for Fathers day

      • Pretty sure that was for the original QC35, version ii only came out start of this month. Decent price for a brand new product.

        • I don’t think the ATO pays GST

        • Yeap, that was the original QC35. The only significant difference is the ANC control which costs $35 extra compared to that deal ATO quoted. Google assistant enabled with the QC35 II as well but meh.

  • awesome thanks leidenia for the post.really appreciate it been waiting for a few months for a special lol

  • now it is $375. though I was wrong at the model, whoever read my post and hesitate will benefit eventually!

  • Well I went a different route, got JB to match video pro's price of $435 and used my $200 JB gift card, so I paid $235…

    • you could sell your card at 180 bucks and buy the 375 one which means you only pay 195 bucks.

      • yes I could have, but its more convenient, if anything goes wrong in future, I can just walk to jb…. still a bargain..

        • Then you should really keep an eye on JBHIFi. Anytime it may disappear from the earth as Amazon is on the way.
          i

  • For those concerned about shipping times. I purchased tuesday morning, received friday afternoon.
