Hey everyone!
Just found this out flipping through the catalogue, some other good bargains in there too (Guitar Hero, Star Wars etc) but the standout is COD :D

Cheap if you compare it to ebgames and GAME for the 360 and PS3 version but it'll probably be better if you get the PC version off GAME since its delivered for $79. Very good if you know there won't be anyone in at home on release date :)

  • I will use this to pricematch at EB Midnight launch. thankyou!

    • they'll only agree to it if there's a 24 hour kmart around their area :)

      • +1

has to be same complex as well sometimes. asshats

        • And they don't beat the price, only match it. Might as well just get at Kmart rather than letting EB steal sales that they don't deserve.

        • yeah, this is correct.
          didn't work for me. :(

  • my EB pricematches any store in Australia. The kmart is about a 25 minute drive away, and yes it is a 24h. They will match it no worries :).

  • $60 from D2D.

    • +1

      whats D2D ?

      • Direct2Drive, for pc only though. Exactly the same as buying from steam.

      • Direct 2 Drive same as steam really i believe. IGN supports it or its part of their network fox media or something seems kinda dodgey really sure its not though

        • Say I bought my Black Ops (PC) from D2D, and my friend gets it from Steam, am I still able to multiplayer with him?

Furthermore, will I be able to right click his name on steam, and use "Join Game"?

I ask seemingly dumb questions as MW2 is quite integrated into Steam, so wondering if getting from another vendor will cause any issues.

        • Yeah you'll be able to.
I believe BO NEEDS steam to work so it'll work with all the features as well.

  • great,I will go to shopping.

  • Anyone know if they would have halo reach as part of the $79 games?

  • +1

DSE price match plus give you a discount of 10% of the difference
eg if DSE are going to sell for $99 (which is what they have it listed for) they will give you an extra $2 off
so if DSE is closer than you will get it for $77 :)

  • Wouldn't it be cheaper if you buy from UK?
Of course it would come late…. but I think from shopto.net it would be around $70….

    • It definitely would be, but for Aussie retailers it is a bargain - the waiting time + foreign game rating (and low possibility of trade in) make this deal a good one as opposed to importing

      • Actually trade ins of non-Aussie stuff was not difficult…

I often bough a pre-owned games, and they are often non-Aussies…

        • Anyway the price from ShopTo.net for X360 and PS3 is GBP42.85 + shipping.
While for the PC is only GBP34.84.

          Plus shipping GBP2.50.

      • +2

Nevertheless it's a good deal if you can't wait

  • +3

after the sale, the game will not go below 100 bux untill the next one comes out. so either get it now or not at all

    • or until game of the year edition comes out (:

      • +2

didnt have one for mw2 did they??

  • +2

nah this is a good price for the game. rather get it at midnight on release day than wait a few weeks for shipping just to save $10-$20. I import alot as well, but only if I can get it early or at a significantly reduced price. for a blockbuster like COD I will get it day one in store :). I will buy a PC version online for about $35 shipped though. i like it on PC and xbox 360.

I think some people think this website is called OzOpinion, not Ozbargain.

    • Is this in reference to the deal or some comments posted?

      • great deal, valuable comments which will inform someone of something at some time.

  • Anyone know when this game is released on Steam(for the pc)?
Or are all the versions able to be added to steam?

  • +2

For PC $59.99 from the US Steam Site.
Get it gifted, or set up at VPN.

    • Isn't it the same on the Australian Steam store? Mine is also showing $59.99USD

      • $89.99USD on Aus Steam.

  • +2

I can't believe it this deal is so amazing

    1. Download ultrasurf
    2. Use it to open IE with a US IP and create a steam account, put in a fake Us address
    3. buy the game for $60 US and gift it to your email

    worked great for me :)

  • Big W is selling the game for $78 also apparently. DSE might also come out on release day at $77 cause they love to have price wars lol..

    • 78 on pc, 83 on consoles

  • +2

Why buy it from Australia? Buy it from UK. No more than $51.

    • Where in UK can you still get it for that price? Before I saw that it was 30 pounds which was around 48 but they increased the price in every UK store i've seen to 35 pounds which is almost $60 =/ Wish I ordered it before they upped the price.

      • dvd.co.uk. I forget to mention that it is PC version.

        • I think it was when you got it that it was still that cheap, but they upped the price at dvd.co.uk too , http://www.dvd.co.uk/buy/catcallofdytyblackpc/call-of-duty-b… being 35 pounds too which is around $56 + shipping now, they were also 30 pounds before last time i remember, still a good price though for a hard copy.

      • +1

@phazor I can't reply your latest post. I don't know why. But don't conclude so early, just go to check out, and watch the price :) Tell me what you see.

        • lol that's pretty damn weird with the price, wonder why they're keeping the increased price on the main page, thanks for mentioning to see the checkout though, guess they're probably hiding the fact that they didn't put up the price like the rest of the retailers there :S

    • +1

Cause I want it as soon as it comes out.

  • hmmmm might have to cancel hardened edition

    • I reckon EB offered the hardened edition at the same price as the standard to eliminate price matching, tricky buggers.

      • Hardened edition is actually limited this time around, all EB and JB stores sold out months ago (in victoria at least). The hardened editions were always gonna sell no matter what.

  • +1

Looks like I'll be heading to Kmart on Tuesday, thanks :D

black ops is $60 US (for ps3)

    beat that!!!

    • Which region can we buy from? and will there be auto updating aswell?
I am assuming this is what you would buy:
      http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-bp-49-en-70-3ts3.html

      • If you want to be able to get DLC for blackops in the future, you'd best buy an australian or uk version. but that said, if you set up a PSN account in the appropriate region from where your disc originates, you should be fine :)

        • thanks for that.

  • Thank you ! Yay Its finally out totally going to be my next game!

  • Hardened is a rip off, if you think its limited your an idiot. EB has very smart, cunning marketing. They had some available on their websites along with Prestige editions the other week and no doubt a few more will go up near or shortly after release. EB are con artists.

The hardend is definately not worth a extra $41! I got it for MW2, and it just sits on the shelf. Case was cool but thats about it..

    • +2

Don't forget when buying it from EB, you enter in a draw to win a Black Ops bar fridge. oh wow!

      • at least this time u get sum extra maps or something with hardened edition. thats enough to make me buy my first non basic edition game.

        • Same here, I'm getting it for the extra maps and stuff.

So yeah, I'm paying $41 extra, but seriously, I don't particularly care. I love CoD.
PLUS I paid for this FULLY by trading in old games that I never played, and got 65% extra trade in value at the time.

        • +1

i traded mw2 for $78 bux in august to GAME :D

  • If you wanna buy it from within Australia buy from cheapgames.com.au, its 69.95 and they are so cool you can add them on msn to get serial keys etc when you buy them lol.

Oh im not sure how much delivery would be..

The Xbox version is only USD$58.75 at Play Asia

    http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-8l2o-71-dw-49-en-84-j-70…

    which equals AUD$59.58 A great deal !

  • Where would one look for the Prestige edition for the PC?
Is there even one for the PC…?

    • -5

      http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-8l2o-71-7s-49-en-84-j-70…

Only normal version for PC, here it's US$54.90 shipping starts at US$4.90

    • You could try looking at my homepage:

      http://www.gamecafe.com.au/GamePrices.aspx?p=All&Search=call…

It lists a few online stores where you can find the prestige edition (for PS3):

Store Price (AUD) Est. Shipping (AUD) Total (AUD)
      EStarLand $151.48 $7.12 $158.60
      Play Asia $202.13 $3.97 $206.09
      HMV UK $212.08 $7.34 $219.43
      JB Hifi $229.00 $2.80 $231.80
      EB Games $228.00 $10.54 $238.54
      Mighty Ape $247.99 $4.90 $252.89
      Game Lane $274.95 $0.00 $274.95
      Games 101 $279.95 $5.95 $285.90

But my search engine hasn't found a single PC version, so I'd say there isn't one out?? I need to do some more homework.
