Is this one good?
Can't argue with free, but the game never took off. Its fine enough, but I got bored. I had hope, but I think now the series is dead, at least that's what articles seem to suggest. The developer has had mass firings due to bad sales of the game and cancelled their F1 license.
According to the same source and verified via two others, the F1 Manager series has been a disaster for the company with sales being “very underwhelming compared to management's expectations.”
“I don't know how they had miscalculated predicted sales figures, but it was less than one third of what they thought they would earn,” one source explained.
“When they released F1 Manager last year, they dropped console support in the first week. This year's version is a clone of last year's perforce repository with a few extras added, sold at full price. It's an insult to the very small player base.”
Seems like they got it wrong end-to-end.
Might as well get this for the giggles and for the sake of having it; would rather prefer it to be on Steam since 99% of my library is there but you don't get free on Steam so…
Wonder if it's any good considering its last in the F1 Manager series. Frankly I'm just getting it so I can own at least 2 games with Logan Sargeant in it haha (F1 24 didn't seem worth it to me during the Steam Store sale, if EA gave it away for $5 I'd probs get it but anything higher for a rebadged worse F1 23… yeah nah)
the game is region locked. It is not available in Australia unless you decide to a) Change your region via Epic Games to the US or any other country that has it* or b) You make a new account that has its region bound to the US.
*There is a ton of requirements you have to meet in order to change region, so just make a new account.

mine us US and I cannot get F1 Manager either. wonder which region it's avaialble
Everywhere but Australia, Brazil, South Korea and Russia according to the manifest.
I believe the first three countries can still purchase it on Steam, for way too much money.
US VPN might do the trick if you're unable to get it into your library. Made a US account just for this and got blocked by it saying that it wasn't available in my region; VPN'd into the US and all is good now.

I'm relieved that this means there's one less game to add to my pile of shame…
Now to head over to Amazon to add those games on my weekly routine of claiming free games (and not playing any of them)…
Meanwhile this is the only game I've come to claim or cared about playing in years and this happens haha
I wonder if it who it was that prevented Epic from making it free for Australia?
Why is the blocked in Australia? We don't normally have issues like this compared to some other regions?
I noticed its available in Australia today for free on Epic store.
I just got it free but my Play Store is set to Vietnam 🇻🇳
