I got similar, a Bosch Free'e [Yes, that's the name of it]
Frankly, for the coin i paid, around $200, the performance is not as good as the 20 year old Weinester? it replaced
2200 watts, but seems gutless, the attachments don't stay fixed and move off to one side on the end of the lower tube.
Noisy and heavy, so much for "german engineering"
Very average, the only positive is the 15m long cord, would give it 5/10, i won't buy a Bosch again, looked great on the brochure etc, real life,,,,FAIL
THE BEST vacuum cleaner in the world is Lindhaus, will be the next for me
Thanks for the warning.
strange, total opposite from previous reviews in previous deals here.
different model ?
Mine is beige is colour, i think its the earlier edition of Free'e
Perhaps all the issues have been addressed?
The ONLY star in it is the LONG 15m cord, not a lemon but very average
Should have shaver buying style ie/ try for 30 days or return for cheerful refund
This one has shorter cord at 10m only and 4.3kg weight for the unit alone.
Maybe @ozhunter68: & @Tiufel: can update their reviews here, see if their unit still holding up.
Just saw this comment, and can confirm that this model is really power for the size and weight. Not as powerful as the full size Miele models ( German made ), but not far off and more compact and lighter.
Got this for my 77 year old mum for her top floor carpets as I don't want her carting a vacuum cleaner up and down the stairs. She does not like bagless vacs ( like many other users ), and loves the smaller very
manoeuvrable form factor. Also the bags are top quality and don't need to be replaced for ages and are cost effective.
I use an older corded Dyson here where I live, and on max power the Bosh has 20% more suction and can run much more quit when turned lower. For below $200 this is a great vac.
@ozhunter68:
thanks ozhunter86 and OP
"8200"
Sounds like a different, much inferior model to this one. From my use of this one, sounds like they have improved a lot.
Don't write off Bosh vacuums all together, check one out in store and give it a whizz, you'll be surprised I think.
The Bosch website model number (for this product) exactly matches the Bosch Free‘e ProPower:
http://www.bosch-home.com.au/productlist/vacuum-cleaners/bag…
not sure which model 8200 is referring to as there isn't any other corded bosch vac model in $200 range
but this has shorter cord vs 15m quoted by 8200
and this is only 4.3kg vs "heavy" comment by 8200
so definitely different thing.
Best vac at least a while ago was a Wertheim (sp?). Hepa, and Germastadt. At $1600 they arent cheap though. Ask me how I know…
How you know?
My wife made me buy one…
how does this compare to the miele c3 which costs twice as much?
Good price. Shame it isn't bagless.
