  • Anyone able to vouch for this in Sydney? How do you arrange to collect the meal, can I just walk in and there's one ready?

    • +2

Can't vouch for it in Sydney (as based in Melbourne), but to answer your other questions you need to book your meal the night before. The menu opens at 5pm the night before and you have till 9am the next day. You will also need to select a time slot to pick up the meal (15 minute slots).

      • Any restaurants close to southern cross station?

        • They have a lot in the CBD. If you're on the Docklands side of Southern Cross station you might struggle unless you are close to Collins Square. They seem to have about 5-6 shops in their list from that complex.

        • @sena86: Thanks. Im in that building.

Really depends on the restaurant you choose but yes most will have it ready as they don't want you crowding the area during their busy lunch serving time.

    • You choose your meal/pickup time between 5pm the day before and 9.30am on the day on the MealPal website/app, then you can walk in during your pickup timeslot.

Your meal will be ready for you - just flash the email you get after choosing your meal, or mention that you want to collect a MealPal order.

Vouched for in Sydney. Have been using it for several months now. Very convenient, love it!

  • yep, simply choose your meal/vendor the night before, select pickup time. Some popular vendor meals sell out quickly. Have had no issues picking up meals. It's been great !

    • I've only ever seen a couple sold out.

  • What time can I pick up the lunch? I usually can't leave work before 2:45 pm. :(

  • BE AWARE!!!!!IF you want to cancel the account, it's a <<PAIN>>!!!!!

I Have put my account on hold/Cancel 2 meals before it end, and they still charge me once i finished all the meals!!!!

    and they wouldn't refund!!!!

      I believe they have improved.

I signed up initially with the $50 Coles voucher deal but was quite frustrated when they would only issue the voucher after you had paid for your second month.

After learning that I asked for an immediate refund of my first month. Within 30 minutes I received an e-mail saying I will receive a full refund and a free meal to try it out. I rejected the free meal as I simply wanted my money back. The refund was processed quickly with the money back in my credit card within 2 business days.

I informed them of several issues I had with their website and I'm guessing many others shared my sentiments as they seemed to have made several positive changes to their website.

I guess I'll find out tomorrow if their online help matches the service when receiving the food.

  • There are just too many of these companies to keep up. I don't know how they make money.

Following the link worked with my existing account on hold. Got back on a plan for another cycle and was charged the discounted price.

  • So you have 30 days to use the voucher so you can skip a day or two with out any problems? Also can you book 2 or 3 meals each day or just one?

    Thanks

    • Yes. Don't think so.

    • +2

Yeah it's a 30 day subscription. It will auto renew after 30 days where you get another 12 or 20 meals, depending on what plan you originally purchased.

If you purchase a 12 meal pack, you can certainly skip a day, but if you order a 20 pack you basically have purchased a meal for every day of the working week for 4 weeks.

You can only book 1 meal per day.

For those not wanting to renew, remember to cancel your plan after paying for your first month!

Coles Voucher works out cheaper once you claim the voucher ($50 coles voucher) to sign up using that code: www.mealpal.com/coles44

    • can you do both?
