MSY Instore Deals: Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB Fully Modular PSU's ($80 for 650 Watts), Dual LG 22M38D-B LCD with VESA mount $257

240

The only good deals are:

Fully Modular power supplies by Thermaltake. The RGB Lights are not software controlled, you press a button on it to switch lighting modes and to turn it off etc.

The $80 Smart Pro RGB power supply features RGB lighting, Bronze 80 Plus Certification and fully sleeved modular cabling. It is, by all means, a fairly budget power supply with average specifications. It is not particularly quiet nor does it have amazing capacitors. It is covered by a 7 year warranty.

The $105 Toughpower Grand has GOLD Plus certification and fully Japanese solid state capacitors, also modular cabling and RGB lighting. It also has zero decibel feature which turns off the fan when your system is at below 20% load, giving you silent operation when your computer is idle.
It is covered by a 10 year warranty. Recommended purchase.

There is $257 LG 22M38D-B set which gets you two monitors with a included monitor mount, great for creating your budget work-station and for joining the multi-monitor master race.
How much are you actually saving with this combo? The monitors are worth $109 each from MSY. The Vision Mount is $89 dollars, so total bundle purchased seperately is worth $307 (saving $50 dollars).

In-store only. Most items 1 Per customer (no limit on the monitor bundle). Ends this Saturday or when stock is sold out, which-ever is first.

      You remind me of Trump.

  • Anyone know how the Thermaltake warranty works ? Because if the PSU weighs a couple of kilos, and you have to AusPost it to Taiwan in a few years, then it's going to cost you more than the PSU is worth…

  • /me waves at MSY from Cairns. "time to venture north young MSY"

  • Not sure I would trust an $80 PSU tbh.

I would stick to these tier lists:

    http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.h…

This is considered a Tier 3 PSU. Tier 3 being defined as

Still safe to use and stable, just lower quality components. Not really ideal in serious overclocking or super-high load situations, such as a Bitcoin mining rig or a high end gaming system.
