  • the Breville BPR650 is also on sale for $126.75, wondering how this compares to BPR700

  • Thanks, bought the rice box to collect from local Brisbane store.
    Received order confirmation email.

    • Hopefully they'll honour it, I think these DJ ones are all a price error.

      • They're not 1c😋

        • That would have to be the dumbest promo I've ever seen, why wouldn't they just advertise their selling price up front rather than applying a discount via the shopping cart?

        • @Scab:
It's what they do at DJs - same in previous deals - discount appears at checkout.

          @Infidel:

There's no other store like David Jones.

Did she give you 25% off?

        • @Scab:
          100% off😵

I believe it's a technical glitch, as the sales started at 19 Sept with no problem reported till now.

      • 🎉Ready for collection🎉
        Rice for dinner tonight🍚

        • That's great, do you have a rice cooker?

I have a Panasonic that I've owned for over 15 years and it's the best kitchen appliance I've ever bought after my pressure cooker.

Does all kinds of rice perfectly, brown, medium grain, long grain, basmati and jasmine.

          Couldn't live without one now.

          Couldn't live without one now.

I hear that from Asian friends.
I was brought up on 3 meat meals a day😥 But grew up with pressure cooker hissing away in kitchen & have 2 I rarely use now.

Am revamping my diet, as am now settling down for a while to deal with family matters. Have been travelling overseas (purely for pleasure) most of year since 2005 until last few years. Most of my kitchen ware is still in boxes. So having to set up home again in Oz for at least 2 years😭

Only have a crappy $9 one from TGG deal years ago. No wonder I don't cook much rice🍚

Panasonic ones seem well loved on OzBargain. A long life!

I usually leave my rice eating for my regular holidays in Japan🎏
So looking forward to rice at home now.

Already downloaded the manual & getting hungry 🍛

  • i cant seem to buy the cooker, it appears to be out of stock already….

    • C&C still works.

    • Yes, delivery not available - try c&c.
      Edit: delivery now working

I had a lot of trouble with site - it would say available at my Brisbane store, then not, then available. Kept refusing choice of payment types. But eventually ordered. Never had these issues with site before on phone.

  • i tried both delivery and selected 10 NSW locations for C & C, no stock!!

    • Bondi Junction shows available for collection.

      • yup can see that for bondi junction, unfortunately that is too far from me.

Has anyone managed to get it using delivery it says "inventory out of stock".

        • Can't get delivered.
Site seems to be having problems.

        • @Infidel:

          delivery works now!!! :)

        • @kchibi7:
Yes, wasn't working earlier. Problems with site.

The Breville Rice Box is a great product. I've had one for about 8 years and it's been brilliant. At under $60 this is a really good deal.

    • That's the report in previous deals, so jumped at this deal.

What a buggy site. Just would not let me check out with it in the cart and kept saying OoS at diff stores at different times. Prices appear to have been corrected now :( I wonder if they'll honour the successful orders? I never pay with PayPal just in case they don't or I'd be stuck with a DJs gift card.

      • Site very buggy today.
In stock, oos, in stock again - ordered, oos at local store.

Paid by CC as have been caught with refund to DJ credit before😠
Have confirmation email… so am hoping will be honoured.

I don’t think electrical was supposed to be included in the sale. They seem to be on to us now.

    • Correct. Sale was only supposed to have applied to shoes, fashion and accessories.

  • I'm seeing $279 for the fast slow cooker.

    • I'm seeing that too…

  • +2

how come The Breville Rice Box still shows $79 at the checkout for me?

  • Store rang to apologise…
Only had display model. So it's being packed for collection😁

Couldn't be bothered dealing with next store with stock as local store is walking distance.

Good news - your order is ready to collect instore. collection email received.
