  Avantree also sells the Priva III (US $49.95) (low latency transmitter works up to 30m) which is a standalone powered (not battery) operated bluetooth transmitter. It's not like normal USB bluetooth devices which you can buy for $3, as it is dedicated to audio and doesnt work with bluetooth keyboards/mice. Avantree have other versions which contain batteries.

    hi as a wired headphone yes. You only get the benefit of aptX if the headphone and computer supports the same codec (you will need to read the computer's manual to find out)
