they're always conical burr grinders, blade grinders would be near impossible to integrate into a machine.
From the DeLonghi machine I have, better than a sub-$100 grinder, not as good as a stand alone proper one because there's so little control over the settings. Plus while it's "13" settings, I found on mine 1-10 were useless, spat out way too course coffee.
You really know your grinders.
It's the most important part to rolling pulling a great coffee…

I've this machine. makes awesome coffee. had to swap out the first one I got though coz it was a model with a known PCB defect.
Originally “automatic” meant one button cappuccino. Then that was considered “fully automatic” as more basic machines stole the “automatic” name. Now making the milk yourself qualifies as “fully automatic” these days??
I have to confer this makes a good coffee.
I've been using it about 3-4 years without any problems. A friend of mine bought the newer eletta one recently and it is much quieter than the magnifica but costs almost double too! Can't tell much difference between the coffees (espresso).
Went through to the end of the cart, gave me $482 converted to $AU including shipping.
I'd hold out for a better bargain here, but not a bad price.
Great coffee machine.. got one sometime ago at Myer for $599 - perhaps not the cheapest price
Anyone know the grinder quality these have built in? Ie; burr/conical or blade?
