Unfortunately I missed out on the 2200 a few days ago. However, this 1200 seems the same except no lattego (which apparently doesn’t make as good or hot milk compared if you do it manually)
Philips offer 90 days money back in case you don’t like the product (never tried but seems a good bonus).
Here a comparison of 1200.3200 and 2200 https://youtu.be/AeApkhbN3n4?si=esKuyTYCqGmN6mlg

Don’t forget upped TopCashback today (even though I’m not sure what category this would be)

Hmmm not sure why they call this fully automatic where you still need to manually steam the milk.

Fully automatic to me is just put the cup in press button and the coffee is done

The espresso is fully automatic. Obviously not the milk in this case.

In 2025, I expect the machine to drink it for me too.

    • Because this is a fully automatic espresso machine.

Espresso doesn't have milk in it, so In that sense, you put beans & water in one end, then espresso comes out the other, fully automatic.

If however they advertised they were fully automatic latte or cappuccino machine, like something like this, and you still had to pour your own milk, then yes I would agree.

  • How this machine comparing to Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine?

    • +1

One will give you below average espresso and the other requires a bit of barista knowledge to make very decent cup. Also, the milk froth on this Philips 1200 is just terrible.

      • +1

I love the machine but I have to agree, the milk frother makes bubbles that disappear in 30 seconds… I use a separate milk frother.

        • I looked up on YouTube how to make a decent latte by taking want off. Starts at around 9.35. Getting delivered today so hopefully I can try it.

          • @fozzie: Make sure your steam wand is properly clean. There's a tiny pinhole near the top of the steam-wand that if blocked prevents any microfoam forming.
Also, it's not like a regular steam wand where you need to add air (as the guy does in the video at about 7.00), you just put the wand in the milk and ensure the end of the wand is always in the milk.

I've got the Philips Series 2200 (no LatteGo) and have no issue getting good creamy milk foam, including with alternative milks.
