  • Actually, for rugs, 70% is quite 'normal', believe it or not.

Mayne Rugs quite often have sale like this, up to 90% off (and it's TV advertised too). And if I'm not mistaken, it's like their yearly clearance sale.

  • xx% everyday with Mayne Rugs all years round.

  • Seeing as its your first post ill go easy but i gotta agree with vwh. These sales are a dime a dozen. The mark-up on rugs is ginormous. Its even worse than jewelery! But dont let us put you off. Sometimes its good to know where the sales are on even if the savings arent spectacular. I might even have a look myself, cheers : )

"Just found it on their website and I believe 70% off is a huge sale."

Are you sure you didn't see it on tv where they play it over and over and over for the last 10 years or so?

  • Has anyone ever paid full price for a rug??

    • well if someone has, they probably don't visit this website :)

  • someone toys with us methinks……. :)

these guys have been trying to close down/clean up their warehouse for the last 10 years with 60-80% off every 2 weeks on tv… and they are still operating… must be a big warehouse

But they did close their warehouse down…..every night…

So, is the site going to be renamed 'Rug a 300,000'?

  • it's always a sale at rugs a million

  • I actually bought some rugs from these guys yesterday and some of the ones pictured at $70 were actually only $49 in the store I went to….but have to point out it says UP TO 70% off, which is not the same as 70% off everything which is what the title of this post suggests.

  • There's HUGE mark up on imported rugs. An example, a friend of mine has a rug shop in Sydney, often he will sell a rug for $6000-$7000, one of which he only paid $200-$400 for.

  • The tv advertisements from this company drive me nuts. Nobody who has been subjected to their tv advertisements for prolonged periods would ever believe these specials are genuine. This is not a bargain, it's a fake discount.

I was actually going to post this on April fools or something, never thought someone would post it being serious.

I always pay full price for all my rugs in order to keep the rug makers in business.

    • We need more generous people like you in this world.

  • When are they ever going to close down after their "closing down" sale

  • Its like the rug business is cursed

  • Are they genuine Fakhari rugs?

I'd actually forgotten Steve Vizard used to do blackface in the rug sale comedy skits until I watched this again.
