Found this awesome deal at my local Coles in Victoria Gardens Richmond, there was a pretty big stack at the back section in the "discount isle" about 100 or so left of both, both prices are the same for the 16gb and 8gb so the choice is ovbious, could be old stock or something maybe other Coles's are doing similar pricing but i think its up to the store. Great price if you need some extra storage for backups!

There's various colours, all like a transparent fluro colour, black, green, blue, pink
bought the last 2 16GB jumpdrive at 7pm, no stock left. Great deal if you can find stock.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/217221 $2 16GB, happened two years ago at Woolies
USB 3 as well. I got about 15 of them, I think 2 failed out of the packet.
The Woolies ones were without a doubt the biggest pile of dog doo USBs I have ever had encountered.
Worth it for me. Despite the fail rate the ones that worked are speedy and reliable. I am a computer tech so the big white body is good for labelling and make decent boot disks. Total win for me.
@krunchymoses: Boot disks, yes. I have used them for that myself and they were pretty speedy. For anything you cared about or relied to be there when you inserted it more than once, they were junk.
@Daabido: Yeah I figured it would be unwise to trust them past utilities.
Can someone check eastgardens coles for me pls?
Checked - bought them all - none left. You're welcome.
Location: Brisbane
Yep, story checks out.
Is it really that hard to call to ask?
Price is around $9 at Coles Arndale (SA)
So 90 empty coke cans in the local currency.
… or 90 empty Farmers Union Iced Coffee cartons.
Even better!
$8.13 for a 8gb single and $18 for a pack of three at Airport West.
Visited three Coles in my area (WA) and none of them were bargains ($7 to $9)
Are all of them pink?
