Hi Folks,

Looks like the Dry Red 5 is on sale for $127.50 (from $245 ) delivered with coupon. Its the big brother of the Dry Red 5 compact which I posted awhile back on this link: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/313311 .

Only Midnight blue is at this price. This bag should be able to fit the 15 inch laptop.

Other note is the Seedy Bar (khaki green) for $45 (plus delivery) from $149 - https://www.theiconic.com.au/seedy-bar-429462.html

And don't forget to use the cashrewards for alittle extra savings.

  • New bag indeed. Great quality and functionalities.
But I am pretty sure I only paid around $80 last round for it from Myer sale.

    • Then you got a great bargain for the bag.

I have the compact and really happy with it using everyday as a daily commute.

    • Was that the 15" or 13" version?

      • +1

        15" one. I also bought a 13' one for 70 i think.

  • As much as I want to love this bag, having my expensive laptop in a side zip like that would freak me out

    • As long as you zip it up firmly you will have no issues.

This is from experience, I run a lot with this bag with the laptop in it and no issues whatsoever.

Have been using this bag for a couple of years now.

    • There is also a pocket inside the main compartment which can fit a thinner 15inch laptop.

    • It's actually very handy to put it in and pull it out quickly. May be a security concern to some.

    • As long as you zip it up it will be fine.

A colleague however has a habit of not zipping his bags and invariably his laptop met the concrete out in the carpark.

  • That's one expensive-ass bag.

    • +3

      Its got lifetime warranty.

I damaged the should strap once by rushing into the train and it got jammed and freyed.

they repaired it without hesitation or even needed receipt.

    • +2

It's good value for quality considering original price was over $200.

    • Yes expensive for what it is. No waist straps, no special padding for other tech and relatively small for the price. But some people like it so courses for horses…

    • -1

      Also ugly-ass.

  • Got it on sale last time around $90. Great bag!

  • Great bag. I got it at a recent sale. Really well built like most Crumpler products.

Different colours for $95 at myer

    Slate Grey
    Khaki army

$115, use code CCSELL20 to bring to $95. Thank me later!

For a better overview of compartments/layout of the Dry Red 5 (15"/20L version), Notemaker has plenty of detailed pics.

    • Different size too.

    • Yes that's the compact version. little brother of this bag

  • Good Laptop Bag, I did forget to zip up once and my surface pro fell out. cracked screen…lesson learnt

  • Awesome bag. I've used mine for years. Have taken it traveling for work and all good up. I bought a cheap chest strap of eBay to distribute the weight off the shoulders and is now the perfect work bag.
