did they change the warranty guide ? as far as i know the reason they don't provide warranty is because the modem chip used inside is diff so all the shops in aus carry diff modem part and they can't fix it. however i know that some ppl still manage to get it repaired by contacting apple directly. they would have to ship those part to the shop u are sending to.
I have emailed Shopmonk regarding the exact model e.g. A1863 and also warranty. Yet to hear back.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned is that the camera shutter sound when you take a photo can't be turned off on the Japanese/Korean iphone's (not even when you mute the phone). Worth mentioning for those who it will potentially annoy the hell out of.

Yeh wasn't sure about that either - ANZ FF black says manufacturers australian warranty specifically do not sure about that. It also means I have to pay directly with the card and not have PayPal security if something is wrong.

They have sent a refurbished phone with seal.open and some other brand headphones
s8+ cover is for S8 just bad labelling.I tried to call their 1300 304 508 (10am to 6pm) number its engaged all the time.
Their iphone deal has them shipping after 15Th October.
Paypal dispute process ends by that time.
I am just warning everyone about this seller as there are warning signs.

It could just be a one off issue, but still - no good that they never got back to you.
As a long time Android user, I am finally actually interested in an Apple iPhone. The benchmarks for the processing power have been released. The thing is quicker than a 13inch MacBook Pro. And whilst Note 8 and S8 may have new designs, in terms of raw processing power, the iPhone 8 quite simply obliterates them. Yes there are reasons for and against but you cannot fudge the raw numbers. Whether one needs MacBook Pro speeds on their phone is another story but it's there and ready for commoners to spend their $1K pocket money on.
Is there something you like to do on a smartphone that a Note 8 or an S8 aren't powerful enough for?
I'm guessing more than anything the appeal of a powerful processor is that it should last longer before showing signs of slowing down. In saying that, my partners Iphone 5C is almost 4 years old now and still runs smoothly, so I don't think it's that big of a deal.
Probably not to be honest but like I said, being Android for a while, maybe I just hit a point where I want to try the other side. Usually goes the way.. But the fact that much processing power can be held in the palm of your hand impresses me. Whether I actually go ahead and buy one, I don't know. I have a Nexus 6P currently and it still does all the tasks I need it to do without drama.. But hey, if we all stuck to the same phone, there would be no need for any innovation. I'm just really impressed with Apple being able to pull this much processing power off.
Probably only Apple A11 bionic chip can do recording 4k in 60fps or 1080p in 240 fps as for today.
