  • Is there a difference between the home version on their site and the one you're offering?

  • How Webroot compare to Kaspersky, Bitdefender and ESET?

I can't find Webroot in the top10 website at all?

    http://www.toptenreviews.com/software/security/best-antiviru…

    Or

    https://www.av-comparatives.org/dynamic-tests/

They can say anything they want but if the software is not being tested in the real world for at least a few years then it's hard to know how good they are.

Webroot SecureAnywhere Endpoint Protection can best be described as a whole new way to prevent threats on your local system before they cause damage or undesirable results. It is not just an antivirus program, it protects against web threats, rootkits, MBR infections, rogue AV's, etc.

We have had a number of client's that were hit with ransomware, the ones with the Webroot Secure Anywhere protection were unaffected whereas the clients without that protection lost a lot of data due to the infection.

Whereas the standard internet security is sort of a proxy filter that just filters your traffic through an external server.

We have also thoroughly tested multiple anti-viruses in virtual machines and found Webroot to be the most effective.

    @Torres

Webroot Secure Anywhere is one of the lightest running anti-viruses if not the lightest, so we find it is almost unnoticeable when running on a computer with minimal resources.
From our internal unbiased testing we chose Webroot because of it's effectiveness against threats, easy user interface, great support and also barely affects the computers speed.

As a note, if you were to purchase it through us we have a list of users and if there are any potentially unwanted programs or applications (PUPs/PUAs) we check if they can be a threat and push-out a clean-up if they are for no cost through our console.
These can get on the system by accidentally agreeing to installing them when installing other programs onto your computer.
Because the user clicks allow, that bypasses any protection but Webroot notifies us and we can clean it with the click of a button.

Feel free to post with any other questions.
    Kind Regards,
    Brock.

  • I Would also recommend researching Webroot Secure Anywhere Endpoint Protection as they do not include themselves in the public testing.

A good public review would be: https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/4ir2r9/webroot_go…

Some of the posts are from clients with 10,000+ endpoints.

Because Webroot use an online based definition instead of locally on the computer it means the software doesn't need updating the online definition is always up to date.
This is also why it isn't compared to other anti-viruses, because it's a different sort of league so to speak.

But I would encourage reading the reddit review from people that are using it.
