Its your deal OP. How about you try and let us know?

    • +4

Did you even read the T&Cs that you posted?

    • +2

      no

      • Oppps, sorry. I tried to read but didn't see it. Must be too excited :(

    • +1

Yeah, I got it. No giftcards :(

      pic of offer

    • gift cards are always excluded

  • The dog food offer was better.

they were PAYING you $2.25 to buy 1 dog food. lol

Would have easily gotten 100million dollars if I did the rounds

    • It was $3.25 per 1 dog food tin. Some guys around my area was ordering 1000 units at each store. Practically cleaned out 7 or 8 stores.

      • Yeah spend $1. so $2.25 profit. Really? They got 8000 ? so $18,000 ?? omg

        • Yeah I had that promo and called around to each store. That's how I knew. It's actually $8000 based on $1 per unit and if you donate that to a animal shelter you're practically getting a tax deduction back. Probably the reason why Coles stopped giving points for specific products.

        • @nightelves: Yeah, the pudding man. Im sure people found out and smashed it.

          Oh well. free flights gone!

        • @Turd:

If I knew I could order at each store I would have done the same as well. Would have saved heaps of time running around to each store looking for stocks like an idiot.

        • @nightelves: says no raincheck.

        • +1

          @Turd:

Says no raincheck but doesn't mean you can't order the units at the store and pay for it. Even some of the staff suggested that to me also.

        • @nightelves: yeah oh well!

      • thee was tins for $1 also

      • +2

What deal was it? I missed that deal, any link?

    • for 0.2% cashrewards I would eat it too.

  • "Offer not found."

    Lame.

  • Sorry, how to delete the post :( … my mistake

  • +3

The offer is current, you have to be signed into your flybuys account and it shows

  • +1

Nice! I'll stack this one with the other offer I received last night which was get 19000 points if I spend $200 per week for 2 weeks (assuming targeted). Happy days.

    • +1

That does stack well. Although I prefer my $70 spend offer over 4 :)

  • +1

It's a genuine promotion, I received the same email. Bargain i'm not sure.

  • +4

It's not targeted. It's for anyone with a flybuys card. Link

    • General advertisement over the TV as well, definitely not targeted.
Am I going to destroy my Spend $70 a week for 4 weeks for $50…..no way

  • +1

I got the email but had to go in and activate the offer. I am about to earn 14,000 points as I have another 10,000 point one that's going to come due this weekend.

Been very impressed with my recent "loyalty" bonuses at Coles recently. One week I had $10 off a shop and last week I had another $20 off my shop.

Love accumulating flybuy points though as I end up converting them to velocity points. I have also recently acquired silver status velocity thanks to flybuys.

  • Do you think its better to convert into Velocity points or just convert into $$$ and spend ?

Btw, they have another offer which I dont understand very well :

This month, if you transfer at least 2,000 flybuys points to Velocity, you will collect 5x POINTS on your BIGGEST shop at Coles, Coles online, Liquorland or First Choice Liquor. Simply transfer and shop by Saturday 30 September, 2017.

    • +2

Up to you, but suits my need for free flights.

With that offer, go into flybuys, convert them to your linked velocity account (minimum 2000 points worth which will give you 870 velocity points.) Then you will earn 5 X flybuy points on your biggest shop, so if you go to Coles and spend $200 you'll end up with 5X200 = 1000 flybuys points.

      • Thanks, so its not that much compared to other offer like you convert to Volocity, you get 15% more. Only if you spend like 200$ or something

        • +1

It would depend how you use it. If you did a $1000 coles shop you'd end up with 5000 flybuy points. So depending on how much your maximum shop is, this could be a much better deal.

  • +1

    It's for everyone everyone everyone

  • +7

You don't really need to spend $200 if you had a limit.

what I did was I purchased $100 worth of groceries, spent another 2x$50 oral B electric brushes or anything really to make up the total $200, then next time I shopped I would exchange for other items that I would need obviously removing the fuel receipt+barcode as that would make staff manual refund the product as that would legitimately leave you with the points. It's very little effort at the end of the day as you have an extra 4000 points.

    • If this consistently works and actually prevents a 'reverse'of the points earn after exchange, thats pretty great!

    • Wow u r a genius but do they really return goods without the barcode??? Thats what i was thinking when i got this email who would spend a whole 200 dollars worth of groceries just for 20 $ off, atleast i wouldnt

      • All you need is the top part of the receipt and the item showing that was purchased for any type of refund of course. Yes it will reverse your points only the standard points but the Bonus points stay, just make sure that you bonus points "4000" is showing in your account before you initiate the refund. And only if they swiped with your flybuys card, best bet is just tell them you don't have your flybuys card on you, never had issues.

        • Wouldn't they question you why you don't have the barcode?

        • +2

          @nightelves:
You tore off it with the fuel voucher if that ever happens, they won't go Sherlock homes on you.

        • +2

          @DEvok:

They might if you get a tough checkout person.

        • @nightelves: your just asking a simple refund/exchang I don't see how they would bother.

        • @DEvok:

Are you able to exchange for Coles M/C giftcards I wonder.

        • @nightelves: not with the current self serve or staff checkouts it's been updated I used to purchase any gift card with points, nothing works now. But I only know itunes and google play are the only ones that still work.

  • has anyone had experience with value cards.
In the past when I purchased prepaid mastercard, Netflix and PSN cards they were not classified as gift cards.

anyone know what cards officially do and don't count as gift cards? They mention iTunes separately presumably not classified as a gift card

  • Are you sure it's targeted I was just in coles and they had this advertised near the checkouts

    • The one in store is different, that is $20 off $200 spend.

      • Nope it says 4000 fbs equivalent to $20 off

        • ahhh my bad.

  • +2

Got this one earlier today. Not a bad deal, but I hate that Coles/Flybuys make you do the spend in one transaction. The equivalent Woolies ones typically let you do the spend in multiple transactions over the valid period.

    • +1

Why do I never receive any Offer email from Woolies ? :(

  • +1

Doesn't exclude opal card reloads according to the description. It is $180 for a $200 top up then! 10% off.

    • Minus 5% off if you got Coles GC

    • Can you reload at the checkout?

      • Can this one work with Opal though ? I am not sure

        • Doubt that the people at the checkout counter would know if we could get our points. Is there a live chat feature or email address on their website for us to get clarification.

      • yes at wynyard station. not sure if elsewhere.

    • +1

I activated the offer, then did a $120+$80 Opal top up at my local Coles, and this was put through as a single transaction. On the receipt was "congratulations you have collected 4000 bonus points". I think this bodes well for those spend x for 4 weeks, get y bonus point type deals…

    No gift cards No DEAL

  • +3

I've been offered 4,000 points for spending $50 per shop for 2 weeks. I know which one I'd rather!

  • +1

This is simply a NO DEAL for me..I think they're watching to see if everyone can SPEND that much in one shop SO when the next offers come around for the spend $40 etc and get 10k etc points after the four weeks will be slashed dramatically.

Last time they said I needed to spend $90 each shop to get the 10k after four weeks..I said a big no thanks. $70 sure..$90 no.

  • -1

can you buy $200 bunnings gc? woolies you can as the system doesn't know better.

  • Out of interest, has anyone who bought the eftpos $100 gift card for 2000pts deal that finished one tuesday received their points? I bought on Tuesday and am still waiting…

    • +1

I am still waiting as well.

    • Interesting, waiting for a Wednesday shop to post. Usually would have been overnight, eg ~36hrs

  • +1

I bought the $50 eftpos GC on 9/9 Sat received the 2,000 when I checked the receipt today.

    • is that the perfect gift card? Do they can't as spend for offers like these?
