  • Any clue if CD/Vinyl will be added at some stage between now and Monday? Heads up: Next 20% probably won't be until end of October.

    It's already working online :)

  • Thanks OP. Been waiting for this since start of August. Gonna stack with buy 2 get 1 free.
    Cheering

  • So just to be 100% clear, no 4k discount?

    • -2

      Yes 4K is clear

      Included

      • @mlburnian: Shame that they stopped their 2 X 4K movies for $40 just before doing this 20% off offer. Some movies are more money now with 20% off than they were before on the original deal. (We got 4K X-Men Apocolypse and Fantastic Beasts for $40, plus 4K John Wick and GhostBusters new version for $40. $20 each is fairly good pricing)

        • Yea, previously I combined 3 for 40 with 20off. Going to wait till bogof

  • Any highlights ?

  • Any BOGOF deals?

  • I'm not sure, but you might want to check with your local JB Hi-fi before considering stacking with another offer. It may have been just my bad luck, but with the last 20% offer I tried that at Harbour Town Gold Coast (with BOGOF at least) I was charged for the "free" one. When I asked why, they just said it was because they couldn't do it.

    • I accidentally did it fine at Caringbah JB :)

      • I've also had it work numerous times. Which is why I was surprised. I may have just got someone who was having a bad day - the person who did it has worked at JB for a few years at least. She was at another store before moving to Harbour Town, when it opened there - so it wasn't just a new staff member getting it wrong.

You can buy it online (pickup in store).
You can check the final price before committing to it.
I never had any problems with stacking codes @ JB

      • Did this yesterday and picked up the same day. And so much easier than trying to find the dvd on the shelf. I always get lost when I browse for dvd's instore.

Blue Heelers Collection 2 for $93 after 20% off (together with $35 worth of Ford Australia gift cards for charging me for 'free' NRMA roadside assistance supposedly included with servicing).

  • Just in time for Big Bang Theory season 10

John Wick 2 will be mine!

  • FYI it doesn't include pre-orders. Was hoping to get a few $$ off TWD Season 7.

    • You cant have new pre orders. Existing ones that u pick up during the sale should have the discount applied 😁

Shame they have just stopped their 4K Blu-Ray deal - 2 4K movies for $40. This would have been a sweet add on for us 4K users.

  • Waiting for this https://www.amazon.de/dp/B075F3N9N5

The day I finally get a uhd Bluray player, already have 65" OLED 4k HDR and 7.1 ht

    • @FeZZa21: We picked up the Panasonic DMP-UB900 4K player for just under $505 delivered from VideoPro on their last 20% off PayPal deal. The player is great, a lot better than the first 4K player that we purchased for twice the price the year before (Fast start up on 4K and BD playback, auto recalls all our movies last stopped play timing, our older 4K player made us watch all the death threats from the FBI and also adverts prior to being able to watch your movie).
The only thing that I would knock the Panasonic 4K player for is that it "blocks" certain HD audio files playing from your USB HDD media files (If you have any :-)). Otherwise we could stop using our 4K DuneHD duo player.
I look forward to OLEDS having more brightness output in the future to allow our HDR to really shine. When playing 4K X-Men Apocalypse in HDR the movie becomes so much darker that you miss out on some CGI areas of the movie that were already very dark.

      • thanks for that. but I think I'll pick up the one x when the nolan flicks come out in 4K UHD.

even a xbox one s for $280 would be a great bluray player, so not sure why you spent so much on one.

        • We looked at the X Box as a 4K player but seeing as it does not pass the new format HD audio that was a killer for us. Not much point having a theater audio setup but not being able to pass through ATMOS or DTS.X to our Yammy Aventage receiver. Maybe in the future there will be a chip to do this on the X Box, but not as yet. As for price we paid, well each to their own, some are happy with a $700 Aldi Bauhn 65" LED TV, some want an OLED which is slightly more money :-), you pay for the tech if you want it enough, and we do like our toys. The upscale chip on the DMP-UB900 is far superior to the Panny base model 4K player version, so we can make the most of our 500 or so Blu Ray movies on our new 4K OLED screen. With a decent upscale, the BluRays get a new lease of life even if their format is now old.

        • +2

XBox has supported ATMOS and DTS:X passthrough for 5 months now.

        • @B3: I missed that one :-), that certainly makes the Xbox a worthy player now, thanks B3
