  • Was just wondering how safe these are charging wise? Ive never owned/used 18650 batteries. Don't want to burn the house down! Is getting the recommended batteries and a nitecore inteli charger safe enough?

If you need a battery does this one work out cheaper $29? https://www.banggood.com/BLF-A6-XPL-1600LM-74modes-EDC-LED-F…

    Doesn't except the coupon though.

Yes! I recommend (and use) the Nitecore Digicharger D4 Li-Ion, Ni-Cd & Ni-MH smart charger.
BTW: This is a great torch - both my son and I have one of these. He uses his every day at work.

  • I wonder how long does it last. It does not say in the specs. (For an average 18650 element).

  • Would it work OK for a bike light? Anyone use it as such?

  • Is there any decent single mode torches out there?

  • Any other recommended flashlight

Yep, best bike light I've had, so much output, more than enough throw but spill is excellent, reducing the "tunnel vision" effect with torches/bike lights that are too throwy.

Plenty of mode choices, including useful bike flash and battery check.

I've mainly used for urban riding, both well lit and poorly lit areas, as well as some windy bike paths.

Have attached a small q/r tether so as not to lose it if it came out of handlebar mount.

Went for neutral tint, best for seeing I reckon. If usage is primarily as a "be seen" light I'd probably get the cool white tint to stand out the best.

    Highly recommend.

I use the LiitoKala charger linked to above, and use the good 18650 batteries from Banggood shown in the other link above.

Edit - bah, was reply to bike light query further up. Ah, well.

I think you'll find bike lights are "throwy" to avoid blinding other road users.
