But it's for yourself though, right?

  • For those interested, I didn't like the long paddles so I bought an additional 2 short paddles from eBay. They work in some slots (sitting loosely) but don't work at all in other slots. It took a bit of shifting paddles around with 2 genuine and 2 cheapies to get them all working.

If you're after extra short paddles, you're better off going with the genuine Microsoft ones - use the warranty/service chat to order some for the bargain price of about $20. :O

Great price. These make gaming a premium experience.

But if anyone is interested, I found factory refurbished ones selling for $99 posted. Comes down to $90 with the eBay code. With case, accessories and 12 months warranty.

    • Doesnt say factory refurb at all, its done by the seller, ie not Microsoft. Its a complete crap shoot with what you would get.

For something thats $50 cheaper and only comes with a 3 month warranty - you may as well buy new.

This is where eBay return flexibility comes in handy.

    • Just checking, did you actually buy it and can you vouch for quality?

    • Is it really a premium experience? The build quality seems to be very hit and miss.

      • Compared to any other controller I've tried, it's very nice to hold and touch. I use it with the windows USB adapter. Love it.

  • Can these be used on PC for gaming as well ?
Currently using Xbox 1 controller with USB wireless adaptor.

    • Yes, uses the same adapter or via USB cable thats included.

      • Thanks. Will pass. Will go for XB1 S deal and will live with same controller :)
Can justify that high price for the controller alone.

    • Yes they can.

    • Save some money and get yourself a Steam controller.

      • I dont know if I can use it as good as an xbox one controller though.

        • On a PC? far better.

          Depends on the game obviously.

        • @Shwayne: BF1…
I cant play with PS4 controllers. I have seen Steam controller as well and I think it might take time to settle down on it.

        • @Shwayne: Returned mine. Really couldn't get used to it. Standard controller still feels better for controller based games and mouse/keyboard for other types is still superior.

I guess if you keep using it you tweak it and get used to it.

        • @cnut: It's tweak town for sure, but it's vastly superior for most PC titles, especially the ones you can't possibly use a gamepad for.

There are very few genres where an Xbox controller excels over the Steam controller, but it does require you to configure settings quite a bit.

  • eBay told me that I just bought the last one.

  • doh! missed out AGAIN
