Ipod touch 4G 32gb + speaker dock (+ accessories) $389 target

120

Be gentle - i know there was a similar special a little while ago and it got a bit of neg.

but i have been searching for a ipod touch (preferrably 3G) and came across this one starting on thursday this week.

Has a 8GB 299 in the package as well.

Not sure of the quality of the dock speakers as they are target's own but may be a cheap alternative to start out with?

Dock
fm transmitter
wall charger
earphone /case
3.5mm cable connector
cleaning cloth
sock cover

Its a okay price. Can't really beat it if you need all those things and you were going to get it here.

yeah i am pretty sure i posted this last week

    here it is:

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/32169

    • not the same - if you check the details
yours is also expired and this one starts this week.

  • Also we want real bargain.

    Duplicate.
Also, the offer started last week and the speakers and accessories are from iCoustics, not Target's own.

      YAWN! again

      read the catalogue
starts 21st of October… not sure what time frame you are in.
but today is only the 18th?

Other than swapping the 10-in-1 iCoustics Accessories to a 7-in-1 set which is no big deal, this is essentially the same deal being repeated in the current catalogue that replaces the one that expired. You should go back to sleep, you and your "Be gentle with me or I'll bite you" LOL

This is why a lot of people dont bother posting specials which may help someone else because the community of this forum is non supportive.

it is a special - it is not the same as the other one - if you walked in with that special - they would tell you it is not valid as this one is on the thursday.

i dont know why i try to help others with specials when all you all do is scould others.

the only posts supported are scamming posts which rip off others.
other than genuine posters who are just spreading the word.

shame on you and may karma have its hold.

@princessmya: Nobody is picking on you. You could have avoided all the negs if you had taken the trouble to explain the essential differences between the two deals in the description. Also, if you read the comments again you will see that nobody scolded you but that you are being rude to others first:
            "YAWN! again"
"what time frame you are in"
and followed by cursing others for no good reason:
"shame on you and may karma have its hold"

Is this your idea of being gentle? What you should have done is simply state the difference (as I have done) without being rude in the first place.

@EarlyBird: I clearly noted the inclusions in the initial post - also stating the other post i was accused of duping was 'similar' not 'exact the same'.

I had the expiry date and the catalogue shot with the exact timeframe for the special.

i stated in reply it was not the same.
and had others tell me it was after this specific reply?

i said shame on you - telling me i should go back to sleep when everything i had written was legit.

what else can i do? repeat myself each comment because people would rather sling mud then actually read the post?

isnt it better to buy now then? else u only get 7in1 pack rather 10in1 pack…

Here in lies a common marketer's strategy - Buy it now or you'll miss out later, but just in case you've missed it already, we can still offer you a similar deal. Consumers are pretty retail-savvy these days, a real bargain would be sold out in a few days (or in a matter of hours for on-line deals, as we regularly witness on this site).

real bargains at target and big w are sold out before they are on for sale
        like those cheap xbox's
most sold to employees before the sale started

    • the 7 in 1 in slightly different (not just omitting) in accessories.
Need to compare apples with apples

Well i did a heap of ringing around and bargain hunting to see what stores would give me on this deal.

And i ended up getting a 4th Gen Ipod touch 32gb for $325 and a logitech anywhere 2 for $140.
works out more $$ than this deal but hopefully will be better quality and last the distance

    • good price you must have bargained hard!

can i take you iPod shopping with me ;)

    • where did you get a 4th gen ipod touch 32gb for that price ?

Id like to get one too.

      • lol! it was actually through the good guys - you can try , it is below cost, but this is a regional town and i am a loyal customer :)

Although harvey norman did say they would come down that low to match also! so worth a try doing some haggling!

  • Well done with the bargaining. How are you docking the touch onto the anywhere? It doesnt come with adapter hmm

    • what do you mean?
i pick them up tomorrow, will it not dock on the anywhere?

surely they wouldnt sell you the speaker system that wont dock the ipod you are buying with it?

      • the anywhere 2 has dock adapters for anything up to 3g touch.

the 4g touch, disappointingly, doesn't come with an adapter. i have the anywhere 1 and well there's no adapter for it.

however you can still plug the ipod in, albeit a bit loose, and it should work other than the wonk

you might get an adapter elsewhere but i haven't looked it up

did a bit of research - you can buy a sz 20 from apple for $13 (3pk).
so all is not lost :)

  • the specs say
Supports iPhone™ and all iPod models with dock connector

  • i thought i would update for those wanting to know

The ipod touch 4g docks perfectly in the logitech pure-fi anywhere 2 without the need for a adpater
and it charges and play fine
