Hmmm. Checked my account and it has the same offer except for $0.99. I said no for the free Rememory movie. Wonder if that made a difference.

Was there for me, The only time I rent movies from Play is when I see an offer here. Thanks OP!

    • You're welcome; enjoy!

Is it just me or is $1.50 for a one time viewing of a movie not that great a buy?

At least if you have a physical rental you can watch it multiple times :)

You can watch a Google play rental as many times as you like within 48 hours of starting it.

      • Must be apple you can only watch once..
In that case, I take it back but still 2 free rentals @ Hoyts is much better than this

        • you can watch hoyts rentals on your phone? Use Chromecast etc?

@OnlinePred: I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to get at, but I'm assuming that the above comment is sarcasm, so I am glad I can't watch hoyts rentals on my phone. Unless you have a GS8/8+/Note 8, your screen is most likely too small to watch a movie on.

As for using Chromecast, yes it is just like watching a physical rental on your TV. You still have the price however - $2.98 vs $0.
I can have three coffees for that price difference.

@pennypincher98: yep and i don't have to get up to buy this. The time it takes me to go to the kiosk and see if they have Bluray or DVD, then find out they only have DVD…zzzz. I understand it's cheaper, but that's because it's less convenient. Also i don't have to return it, and if I get lazy I don't get charged extra.

        • @OnlinePred: Harsh crowd today, negged for offering a cheaper option wow. Anyway, I do see your point in that it takes virtually no effort to just buy it from your couch but surely at one point you are off your couch and living in the real world? I understand that this going to a physical location is not for everyone, but in the interest of saving money (which is why this site was made!) the option is there.
You could also talk to someone before hand, you know with another person :)

@pennypincher98: Sorry what's that "real world" thing?

        • @OnlinePred: lol that was a good end to this before we spend too much time comparing the two :)

    $0.99 here.

  • I'm a huge fan of a movie called The Pirate Bay personally.

    • Hahaha there is some people that would say "you're a criminal, that's illegal" and all that but honestly what do they expect people to do? If something is free on the internet, why pay?

I reckon we either need stricter control/copyright laws etc if it is as major an issue as people make it out to be.
