Cheap Android 6.0 tablet that seems to get good reviews. I was looking for something for my daughter and at this price I don't care if she destroys it really. It has a case available for $7.98 extra (https://www.gearbest.com/tablet-accessories/pp_672663.html). HDMI out so we can put Netflix on a TV too.

Specs from the site:

- MTK8163 Quad Core 1.3GHz
- 7.85 inch 5-point IPS Screen
- 1GB RAM 16GB ROM
- 128GB TF Card Expansion

1gb of ram on that OS. The struggle will be real. Good price though.

Might be ok. It's 1024x768 res. This is 2012 specs. But there will be lags every now and then.

  • Meh, 1GB RAM and MTK processor.

Yeah. For $68 we should be expecting ipad specs /s

      • I wouldn't be picking Chinese landfill for $68 either.

        • yup chinese govt subsidises these by letting them post it out of the country for free.. loll same as the 15c fidget spinners and 12c tamagochi's

        • @scud70: Or 3c buttons.

I find these tablets to be unusable for the kids. My kids don't have patience waiting.
The Sony 7" sometimes drops to $250. They are fast, sturdy and very sharp.
It's is worth the extra $$ IMO

    • Lenovo Tab3 7" is not bad as well for.just under $100. Battery last a long time too.

      • I also have the Lenovo Tab3 7", my kids find it too slow as well.
        They have high standards!

Have they used iPads before? If so, that explains why.

@fchis: They used my iPhone 6s plus :-(

        • @congngo: @_@

    • How old are your kids? What type of apps are they trying to run?

      • Lots of kids apps like Angry birds, ABC iView

        • Do you think ABC Kid's iView is more resource intensive than Netflix on Android? I've seen a video review of this device streaming Netflix (although it could've been downloaded to the device storage), but if it can't do Kids iView (and possibly other streaming apps), then I don't think it'll actually be suitable.

    • Sometimes people think that because their family members don't know anything about technology, just buy the cheap and nasty.

However, in reality, it is quite the opposite. The family members might be too nice to say anything, but they actually know and they don't want garbage. People with little to no knowledge of technology actually demand more (they want easy to use, fast, features which we feel not that important to them - the little things, do matter to them). That's why Apple are laughing all the way to the bank.

I think Android tablet and phone makers should stop producing outdated, dirt cheap rubbish. We can see OZBer trashing iPhone 6 for being "slow", does not have enough physical memory, and 16GB model is "not enough". How about Android devices?

These devices are generally not good for children's eyes… so don't buy low end / cheap tablets for children.

  • You will suffer, 3gb+rom is needed for smooth running…

  • No 4Gb no deal. When 4Gb hots this price I will buy
