ebay Australian seller easily below $4

    • your local $2 shop may even cost you less…

    • Most of the ebay batteries are fake.
Genuine Sony or Panasonic are worth it

      • using the battery tester, seems ok
will not know until year / years later

my motherboard cell lasted 7 years…… (just replaced with Maxell cheapie - Aussie seller guaranteed original —> doubtful as the packaging colour seems discolored)

These have high internal resistance so it's not that useful to "stock up" on them.

Anyone know how long the shelf life would be on these?

we've bought these with 'free' $10 welcome back vouchers and they are very average

I bought the cheapies from ebay for my car remote, usually last anything from 1 to 3 months. the brand name ones I got the first one is still in my remote and its been in there for more than 3 months..

Don't know where Bogan sources his batteries from, they might be better than usual

    • i buy the energizer ones for the car key.
they last fairly long time even with daily use.

A tip I got from a friend is to buy made in Japan batteries, after I purchased a few different Chinese made ones and had poor results with all of them. The Japanese ones are also all dated with an expiry, which many of the Chinese ones aren't.

These also suit a lot of car remotes (both conventional key and keyless fob).

  • What is the expiry. eBay sells it with expiry of 2026

    • The ones I got from Ebay say 2032

      • the aussie seller i bought from normally only 5 years (Maxell)
        :(

        i got ripped!

        • My Maxwells don't have an expiry on them! :o

        • @maybeamacy: My Maxells do, and 5 years is typical, 10 could be suspect
