Otherwise get a Redmi Note 4 from aliexpress you will get twice the ram (2 v 4 GB), 4 times more memory (16 v 64gb) a much faster cpu and 1000mAh more battery.
Yes, the battery life of the Xiaomi Redmi phones is a huge plus. I can easily get a full days (17 hours) use without needing to recharge. My note 3 is just coming up to a year old.
Still happy with it. I bought mine from an Aus seller for local warranty, but it was shipped from SE Asia to a click & collect location.
Do the Redmi's etc come loaded with Chinese software/ apps/ bloat. Also,how do you go for updates and backup software with Chinese imports?

Confirmed it is the 2016 model only. Big W do have the GR5 2017 but it is $399 from memory.
The GR5 is also known as the Huawei Honor 5X and the 2017 as the Honor 6X,
I looked at this too but ended up going for a Redmi Note 4 3gb/16bg from Banggood for $167 delivered, just too much bang for the buck. Heaven knows when or if I will get it though. :-)

I called big W. The GR5 was that price but it is on clearance because there is a new model, the GR5 2017.
I think you can use woolworths gift cards there so buy a woolies $200 gift card through cash rewards for $190 and save an extra $10 in purchase.
