I've been keeping my eye out for one of these since the first one got posted and I refuse to pay full price. I just want to use it to charcoal filter some crappy cheap vodka I bought!

    • I thought MythBusters said that didn't really do so much to it?

    • Wait - will this work on my cheap scotch?

      • Don't touch the scotch! I've read online that it makes a remarkable difference but haven't read up on it for ages. I haven't heard the mythbusters angle on it. I bought 2x1t bottles of ICE VODKA for $20 on a cruise (floating RSL) and figure I can turn that $10 bottle into a $30 bottle with a $10 brita filter ;-)

        • If memory serves correct it's in season 4

      • Not unless you wanna ruin your scotch.

        • I shall conduct an experiment or ten.
          For science!

    • The difference between cheap and expensive vodka is that cheap one is pretty much ethanol and water and more expensive would have additional stuff added to make it a bit more drinkable. So you can filter expensive to make it taste like a cheap but not other way around.

    • I agree with the group; You really don't want to Britta your vodka.

      • I can see the theory behind it. Extra runs through a charcoal filter. I have faith in this. But rest assured, I likely won't find anything on special and end up drinking it heavily mixed anyway! :-P

  • Checked at Coles World Square Sydney. Scans up at $30.

    • Did you scan the Lime 1.5L version?

    • You need a lime colored jug. If your local coles don’t have stock, try taking this picture to Woolworths and ask if they can price match

  • 1.5L ones scanned at full price at my local Coles these were blue I didn't see any lime coloured ones.

Wife considering ditching them as the filters could not be recycled…

  • lime color, no stock?
