  • Don't buy the 3 month warranty. You'd have to be a fool.

I didn't even know Sony offers it with this short warranty.

    • Its probably not warranty from sony as it is 1 year warranty on sony's end. Its most likely shopping square warranty since the item is imported from HK, sony in Aus will not do anything about it.

$305AUD shipped from Amazon only a few days ago so I wouldnt say this is the best deal on the market

This is a bait, please change the title to accomodate for both prices as 3-month warranty is shooting yourself in the foot for this kind of item.

    • +1

I updated the title with 12-months warranty version.

  • Is 3 month warranty even legal in Australia?

    • Yeah, since a warranty is optional. Consumer guarantees are not optional though. I'd check the 3 or 12 month warranty to see if it provides any extra coverage/protection than the consumer guarantee; though warranties almost always make it easier to get something fixed, exchanged or refunded should their be an issue.

      • Yeah you should get a ~2 year statutory warranty regardless of which option you choose.

        • Exactly, however, this item shipped directly from the HK arm of Shopping Square (as many of their products are), in this case you have no protection

Given the problem with cracking that these headphones have, you'd bee crazy to buy without legal recourse.

        • Actually according to ACCC "you have the same consumer rights when you buy parallel imports" - https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/sales-delivery/buying-para…

        • @Ryballs: Like above said, if it was sold to you via the Shopping Square (HK BUSINESS) then you are not covered under anything as consumer protection does not cover oversees business. Parallel import means imported goods sold by AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS hence you would only be covered if it was sold to you via Shopping Square (Australia) which would essentially mean paying for warranty in this case is a waste of money.

        • @tomochin1991: Sorry thought ShoppingSquareAustralia on eBay Australia would be covered by Australian Consumer Law, my bad.

Special promo through Sony but not permitted to share unfortunately. Then combined with $100 Sony voucher from a previous deal comes to the final price.

    • Buy 2 of them then.

      • Don't think I'll use them. Saving the vouches for a good TV deal.

I emailed your company. You guys asked me to fill out a form stating the card was never received. Signed it and sent it back. That was a year or so ago. Still no reply and no memory card. Will neg your deals every time I see them so that other people aren't duped into your store's false promises of delivering items that were paid for.

        • You can contact me, and I help you to resovle.

        • @danilochan: done before. Not worth losing sleep over as it was a cheap card

        • @tomkun01:
