What sort of lumens should I be looking for in a headlamp?

There are 2 kinds of lights
Lights that make you SEEN - To help other road users see you in low light conditions or lit streets at night
Lights that help you SEE - To illuminate un-lit roads and trails so you can see where you're going when riding at nightLumens really depends on where your riding.
On lit up streets (low lumen light will be okay) or on not lit up streets (then you will need to go for something with higher lumens)
It's this kind of information I appreciate from fellow Ozbargain members.
One AA could hardly supply 120 lumens LED Light for up to 30 hours… Unless that 120 = 1.5 actual lumens.
It's Chumens, Chinese lumens.
The formula is, price times one gazillion equals Chumens output.
