Baby Jogger City Mini GT (2016 Red, Green or Sandstone) US $276.26 (~AU $351.03) at Devine Superstore eBay

PEEKABOO

Expecting a baby in the family and have been researching stollers. The Baby Jogger City Mini GT seems to come up tops in a lot of reviews.

With the 15% off Baby Essentials promo on eBay at the moment I took the plunge.
Works out to about $350 for the Sandstone, Crimson, and Evergreen colours. Slightly more for for the other colours but the also still seem like a good deal.

Better than the previous Devine Superstore deal and also better than the popular Babies R Us deal

Hope it helps someone else out.

  • Is this the international model or Australian?

International I imagine (it's a US based store), what's the difference? Steering wheel on the other side?

Warranty may be an issue, but for the saving I think it's worth it.

      • I don't know baby jogger's warranty policy on internationally purchased items, but I do know that to submit a warranty claim I had to upload a copy of my original receipt.

        • According to other discussions, it will still be covered by warranty (which is only 1 year I think), but you will probably have to pay for shipping back to the US.

I think the main difference is the brake lever is black instead of red, and there isn't a wrist tether.
Probably both things that aren't too large an issue if it's for personal use.

I noticed that the colour choices are a bit different also I.e. In Australian stores there are some almost with different types a fabric available

International models do not meet Australian New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 2088:2000 'Prams and strollers—safety requirements'. The brakes on Australian models and meant to be red to indicate this.

        • Right. I saw this after your comment. That's a shame.
Looks like you can get the red replacements for about $70 though Still works out than most Aussie stores. Or a bit of paint ;-) Probably only worth it if you're going to be selling it after use.
Also apparently needs a tether strap, but you can get universal strap pretty much anywhere.

        • Amazon is not an Aussie company mate AS/NZS standards mean sweet fa. Just don't try to resell them in Australia.

  • How much does this normally go for?
    Is it height-adjustable? (I'm tall)

    • +1

Currently about $799 on Babies R Us and Baby Bunting, but there's been previous deals around the $400-$500 mark.
Somewhat, the handlebar is adjustable to what it says are "users of all heights", but I imagine there's only so much height that can be accommodated.

      • Thanks. Can't be worse than the wollies trolleys. I'll give it a go.

  • David Jones is showing up as $799 so a great deal.

    • David Jones is hardly a good benchmark to measures deals against. Check baby bunting and Toys R Us and you’ll get an idea of what to pay.

Bought this 4 years ago when it was first launched at $649. Still going strong and i have passed it on to the second one. In terms of the Australian standard blah blah…the pram is the same, they only put a sticker that it passed the local test. Big deal! Looking at the brakes, brake line, wheels, frame etc they are the same. Apart from the red coloured brake knob and wrist strap(never have i used this ever in my 4 years of ownership) it is the same pram. Buy it, you will not regret it.

    • I second this - it's an awesome pram and is built like a tank. We picked this after doing a fair bit of research before buying. Didn't have any issues and I would be surprised if you had to claim warranty on it.

  • usually goes on sale for about $600

    great price

  • The only thing I don't like about three wheel strollers and prams is that they are easily tipped over when a certain amount of weight is put on the front.

for example if my 3 year old decided she wanted to get into the pram her self and didn't step on the centre of the foot rest above the wheel and stepped in the left or right corner of that foot rest, more than likely the pram will tip over.

then again if you used the pram/ stroller properly you wouldn't have this issue, because you would be helping your child in the stroller or at least monitoring,

I have 4 wheel version of the city mini and my 6 month old sometimes lie in there to take a bottle, and his older (3YO) sister loves him so much she sometime climbs in with him and cuddles, had that been a 3 wheeled stroller more than likely it would have tipped over,,

but other than that.. great stroller.

we also have the city select 2double stroller as well. love the brand and products
