thanks for the heads up mate… just what I was looking for.
When you look at the comparison chart on the bottom half of the page it says it's a 'time-limited free' version. I'm therefore assuming the offer of the giveaway code makes it an unlimited, untimed version. Any1 know more on this?
Where did the windows code come from? Can't see if offered on the site, only the MAC code.
when you d/l the windows copy, you un-rar it then it gives you the codes in a txt file
I hope not to detract from your post - I do agree this is a bargain in so far as it's free, however I'd highly recommend some of the free alternatives out there for such a job. Particularly since as stated "Note: No free update or technical support is provided." For those wanting to rip/convert for Apple products, give Handbreak a go (works on both Win and Mac too). I've found it to be a very decent program with many Apple pre-sets available. As this is an opensource program, it has many people working to improve it and through their forums and elsewhere much community support is available. I am in no way affiliated with the makers of Handbreak, I just find it to be a great program for this sort of job. And since this offer is FREE, why not compare them?
PS: As a Mac owner, it's great to see more Mac App bargains listed here!
