Ozito 12V Li-Ion Rotary Tool with 84 Piece Accessory Kit $49 (down from $89) Bunnings

140

Was looking at the Dremel rotary tools and saw on Price Hipster that this Ozito one had just dropped in price. I know the quality will be Ozito but for my occasional use, it is half the price of a Dremel:

It looks a little bulky or unbalanced to me so I think I will need to become a little touchy-feelie with it before I buy. Anyone with experience of this unit??

  • Buy the Dremel, the bits included are top quality whereas the Ozito ones are rubbish, the Dremels quality is better, the Dremel is nicer to use and you can get parts for the Dremel 15 years later so it will be a lasting tool.

Ozito is throw in the bin when it fails even if it's for something minor.

    • I agree, the Ozito bits are rubbish. But Dremel stuff is so expensive.

I wish there was something in the middle,

There is, genuine Dremel bit packs from Amazon US. I've been buying my bits from there for over ten years, parts from eBay US or from the many spare parts suppliers and send to a freight forwarder.

      • I bought the ozito one ND Dremel bits, Goin strong 5 years later, some people really wank about tools, imo buy the cheapest reasonable quality power tool but high end hand tools.

    • I own both Dremel and an Ozito Rotary tool. The Dremel is better, but it's not 4 times the price better. If you chuck dremel bits onto the Ozito, you get 90% of the performance for 1/4 the price. I use both.

  • I am wondering why Ryobi still hasn't released a cordless one yet

    • i think it would be to bulky with the battery

    Any cable ties?

  • I notice quite a few Ozito items are now discounted - are they getting out of that brand or just making way for new stock?

  • I had a quick play with one today and bought one. Not the quality of Dremel, but much cheaper. Seems good for occasional use. Thanks OP.
