thanks, forgot about that - as long as it's not considered splitting bills :)
Sydney Good Food Month presented by Citi | Customer Benefits
I've done the entertainment and citi many times! I think the voucher will be OK too :)
I'm so excited to try out a QUADRUPLE deal stack on Friday night! Thanks for the idea!
Wait. You have to PAY with a Citibank Card to get the Citibank Deal so this may not work after all. Still worth a try though. When I've gone up to pay in the past, they've not cared which card I've paid with.
@The Wololo Wombat: If you are paying with a gift card, how do you pay with a Citibank card to get points?
one is paying with a Citibank card more for free wine not points :)
How do you stack with citibank dining? Pretty sure the restaurant wont give you the bottle of wine and let you pay with the good food gift card.
split payment between gfgc and citi? :)
I doubt it'll work, unless you find a naive waiter who doesn't know about the citibank T&C.
I've tried stacking entertainment book + citibank dining and been refused. Stacking good food gift card + entertainment book generally works.
@sp00ker: I've stacked before and it's worked. I've not had to use my Citibank card.
I think it's YMMV - depends on the restaurant and waiter. The experienced staff generally get their knickers in a knot when they have to apply 2 discounts to the same bill.
I've not had to use my Citibank card.
They gave you a free bottle of wine when you showed your citibank card and let you pay with gfgc? That might work for less experienced staff…

The link for the word "stack" appears to be expired? What were you trying to link there?
I have always been able to use gift cards such as these with Dimmi vouchers and/or Entertainment Book offers given that a gift card is a form of EFTPOS payment whereas a discount card/coupon/booking is a sales offer/promotion :)
Oohh right as in the text in the description.
You could've just pasted that in the description over here! :) It's your own post after all (no risk of being accused for plagiarism)
Positive vote just because you can potentially quadruple stack a deal.
Would just like to report on the success of last night's meal!
I went out with my fiance and two friends at Mecca Bah in the Valley (Brisbane). We got the banquet for around $43 each. We got the free wine with Citibank and purchased two additional drinks.
The total bill came to $189 (plus free wine!). But I was able to take advantage of Dimmi's 50% off food deal.
That brought the bill down to $102. I tried to use the entertainment book too and ALMOST got away with it until the cashier changed his mind last min. I then was able to pay with the good food voucher (purched at 20% off) so my out of pocket expense was $81.60, or $20.40pp!
Amazing! Considering we got a banquet meal (which included dessert) a bottle of wine a beer and a cider!!
Thanks OP! This has got to be one of the best yet.
Could've gone into the ozb Hall of fame, if you managed to use the entertainment book too!
I would've thought that they add on the bottle of wine in the bi and only take it off at payment time.
Could've gone into the ozb Hall of fame,
Yep, sorry no hall of fame for you, Wombat!
Thanks, just got a digital card, wonder how it can be used on EFTPOS just with a card number and customer ID, but no password? And do you need to print it out or just show them the digital card on your phone?
Quad stack with Citibank Dining Rewards - get a bottle of wine too!
