    Does anyone find that now all code submissions are now redirecting to Xbox?
    And once there, it's suggesting to try another code.

    Tried with many codes; same results.
    Every once in a while an error says "something went wrong…"

    None of the codes I redeemed show up in the order history page. Hope its just a processing delay and not a way through which they can determine who used these codes. The page shows a code I redeemed for 3 months of groove subscription that I got through Microsoft rewards a few days ago but none of the ones I redeemed today.

      That's because you "ordered" that code. When you redeemed it the only place you'd see the "transaction" is in your "Services & Subscriptions".

        Hmm. Could be. Thing is one of the codes I ordered from another email account's points and redeemed on my primary account to combine the subscription. It shows this redemption in the primary account as an order and not in the secondary email. That's why I assumed the order history included redemptions and not "orders" especially since in the payment method it says "redeemed code". I guess I just have to wait and see.

    Haven't heard of this app before but worth a try for free. The ability to download songs means it beats the shitty, browser-based Google Play Music I'm currently subscribed to.

    It's free, yet still not worth it. Thanks for posting, 3 years of groove music for free. Will never use it. Spotify is superior in every single way, groove music is literally the worst streaming app available

      Ummm… I'm guessing you don't have an xbox… Groove is great for playing on an xbox as it will play the music video if it's available… which is yes for most music they have….

      I'm not sure what Spotify gives you… but this is pretty damn good on Xbox One…

          Again. Easily. Say there were 200 codes posted on Reddit, all they need to do is query accounts where any of those 200 codes have been applied and reset the expiry to be 3 months.

          @PainToad: I for one highly doubt that MS would bother. if they reset expiry to 3 months people will use it for 3 months and go to Spotify or wherever afterwards.
          After 3 years, people wouldn't want to make the switch.

          You do realise MS have to pay record companies every time someone plays a song. Three years is a long time to be loosing money. Cancelling this makes just as much business sense.

If they are going to be like we won't let you reuse 3 month codes, how bad is that going to look for a major business like that? "We can't afford to honour this deal so we are going to cancel your subscription. Hopefully you decide to pay instead!" No.

    For anyone who wants to transfer his playlists I recommend Soundiz - https://soundiiz.com

    I just use the free plan and it converts all my playlists from Deezer, Tidal, Spotify, Apple Music. Great Tool when you want to make use of all the streaming deals.
    (Unfortunately it does not convert the curated lists and you need to do it list by list on the free plan.)

    Not sure about security as you need to link your accounts to them.

    Thanks, OP, I think this was one of the best deals ever came up on here.
    I believe those who mentioned this was an inside job from Microsoft are right.
    Before this no one cared or knew anything about Groove, now people are looking to import songs and playlists from Spotify to Groove. I think Groove is nowhere near Spotify but 100 times better than Google play music.

      It lacks a bit of functionality (esp. Airplay streaming on IOS).
      But the killer function is that it plays music videos via the XBOX One … WOW! Works perfect. Just get the Groove App on the XBOX One.

          No MacOS App unfortunately … but on the other side I would not want top watch music videos there anyhow.
          I also got airplay working from the iphone app to certain 3rd party devices (Sony STR-DN1070) but not the Apple TV or Airport Express … crazy.

        Or more likely, MS would have abandoned the project. Their excitement of securing Spotify for Xbox doesn't show they have much faith in Groove's success.
