  • Random q - whats the deal with the 15c on the end of the price? $2549.15 down to $2399.15. Is it like Costco's pricing scheme where the cents indicates a certain type of sale (eg manager's clearance, special, etc)?

    • Yeah, I saw an article once on how to tell if it was Target's last clearance price. I wonder if this is the same.

  • So expensive for a croped sensor camera. Not sure if realy a deal when you have so many other much cheaper options.

    • That's because the D500 is a professional level camera. That said unless you know how to get the best out of it, the D7500 (or even the D7200) is a much better option. I had a look at it but went with a D7200 about a year ago when I was upgrading from my old D5100.

      • Yes but you can get a full frame sony a7R for that price. D500 not worth it imho.

  • Someone in the know, I'm looking for the more compact equivalent if the Sony A7SII. Would that be the A6500?

    • A6500 is the croped sensor version of the a7 series which has full frame. It is smaller (not by much though) than the A7sii and there are quite a few differences between the two as the a7sii is quite specialised camera.

If you are after value for money the a6000 is the better priced option. The image quality is identical for half the price. If you are after image stabalisation for video then i can understand.
