    Dolphin + Knife = Awesome

Wonder how you would feel working at a Mobil late at night and some junkie pulls out his dolphin knife lol

    • +1

They could give the junkie some free fuel and offer him a "light" ;-)

  • +1

Cool. Ordered one. Hopefully no one orders 1,000 of them to sell on ebay :P and plenty of people get a chance to buy one.

    • Limited to 1 i think

  • +1

lol got one too. why not for 1cent..

  • +1

i like the carabiner clip, keeps the blade just where you need it! ;)
ps some shops cant process $0 transactions so yeah, it's like a freebie

    • +3

      words start wars ….

    • +2

You have got to be kidding me. What lame negative response.

    • +3

      Shouldn't be a douche

    • -1

As any knife can be classified as a weapon…… does that mean we should't promote pocket knifes either? I will be using this for fishing gutting the fish etc

    • +6

Weapons don't kill people, McBain does

    • +2

A knife this small is unlikely to be used as a weapon. Secondly, I doubt the kinds of people who pull knives on others would be trawling this site for bargains - they usually prefer to get their goods for free (by threatening people with said knife).

Cars, baseball and cricket bats, and beer glasses are commonly used as weapons. Shall we not advertise them either?

      • -1

By threatening people with said knife >>>>

But they need a knife in the first place to threaten someone. And this is a very cheap way for them to start off :(

        • -1

I'm pretty sure you already have a knife in your kitchen..?
If you really wanted to threaten someone, you wouldn't take a dolphin knife to do it.. =\

    • Shouldn't be promoting your ignorance.

    • I'll make sure to send the cops round to confiscate all your kitchen 'weapons'

      • +5

Dude, seriously! If someone pulled one of these on me I'd shine my pink piggy LED light in their eyes and walk away at a comfortable pace! I'd be more scared of falling down & skinning my knee if I ran! :p

      • I see what you did there :P

  • Just got my dolphin knife

  • +1

Thanks! My brother loves dolphins so he might be the lucky recipient of this knife.

    • +1

Your poor brother won't be loving these after he gets jumped by some hobos armed with these knives

      • +3

Umm, hobos don't generally order stuff online bro! ;)

    • +6

No, you didn't. There's a limit of 1 per customer.
      LOL

      • -8

        I paid 0.01 cents 17 times so yes, I did buy 17

        • +7

Here's hoping you're 16c down when they realise you've tried to scam them and refuse your order.

  • +8

Hmm, anyone have any 10% off Paypal codes for this deal?

    • paypal can't do $0 transactions

      • +4

I dont think he was serious :p

    • +1

      here

      PAYPALDEALSOCT10

use that to get 5% off, it's better than nothing

  • call that a knife!
ha just got one, great for filleting whitebait

    • +2

      is that racist?

    • Last thing we need is more do gooders in this country.

      • -2

It's easy to say that now but if you were stabbed in some random attack you would say differently.

Fewer knives out there, the better.

        • +2

Mate, I agree! I think we should close down kitchens!
          There's knives there!
          OH MY GOD!

          • -1

@cwongtech: That's just the standard stupid response.
Anyway, it's much harder to hide a kitchen knife down your trousers.

            • +3

@BargainMe: It's actually much easier to hide this in your pants
              http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Kitchen/Knives-boards/a…
              than a dolphin

A few years ago, they were giving these out FOR FREE at Big W and Woolies.
I like them, light, sharp, and small, awesome for cutting things ;) like fruit.

Would you have complained to Big W?

              • +1

@cwongtech: those are great knives, especially for the price they had them at (Free)

            • -1

              @BargainMe: a stupid response, to a stupid comment :)

            • +2

@BargainMe: lol… this all reminds me to the drama caused when they promoted erotic underwear here. Or the bible extracts about a year ago. Sorry - I'm off topic.

            • @BargainMe: How about a Stanley knife, box cutter or any small knife you can legally buy at any hardware store.

        • Yeah you're right, i would go on some idiotic crusade like yourself to rid the world of knives. Rofl!

    • +3

I carry a Victorinox swiss army knife all the time - doesn't mean I go around shanking people…
      It's useful.
If I wanted to go kill someone, I wouldn't use a dolphin knife =\ not that I would even consider taking the life of another.

    • +4

people who carry dollar notes in their pockets should throw them out because they can cut too.

      • +2

preferably in the vicinity of myself, and make sure you get rid of those $100's they are especially sharp

  • cheers

  • +1

    Btw
"We use courier services, which requires that you provide a street address and a contact phone number, and ensure someone is available during business hours to sign for the parcel, otherwise delays may result. "
Are you serious? Courier services for a 1 cent item?

    • I think they would use eParcel which alot of stores flog as courier

      • For a 1c item?

  • +3

this will go to my toolbox, will be handy and stylish

  • +1

    can't complain =)

  • +2

Those who neg this post must be smoking something hard, I want some.

    • +3

Has to be damned good to think tough guys will carry around a dolphin shaped knife. Is it still a weapon if you keep it in your manbag?

  • This will come handy to open parcel boxes :D
    Thanks Lazer!

  • +2

i hope all the people that leave a neg realise there are plenty of people different jobs that carry stanley knives in thier pocket that could inflict just as much damage. I'm one of them, I could be sitting next to you on the train, behind you in the queue at the supermarket, or in the car that your tailgaiting cue spongebob squarepants shocked face

    • +1

You've got a tail light out max! ;)

  • Larry David needs one of these.

  • I've bought these before. Was going to give them as gifts but kept them for myself. Very handy knife for opening boxes and really good for slitting open black plastic planter bags.

  • I have delfiniphobia.

  • +5

If you buy it and carry it in victoria the cops will fine you $1000.

    • Good point, but that's not the point of the deal. The cops will fine you only if you get caught with anything they deem as a weapon, for example if you have a baseball bat in your car without any other baseball gear - you can get charged.

    • only if you haul it out in the city saying something stupid like " ima cut you so bad, your gonna wish i no cut you sue bad"

      • -2

No, if you don't have a legit reason and they find one on you, they will charge you (it's all about the money) and fine you.
So ladies and gentlemen, if you have a cop about to search you… give your knife to your friend and LEG IT! (for distraction while your friend chucks your knife away in shrubs) + pretend to be psychologically traumatized as a child (for your excuse for legging it)

        • Lolz, true dat. Doubly as true if you get caught with one near a pub/club/bar. $2,000 on the spot.

          • +1

@supersabroso: In that case.. order some kebabs with skewers to eat/for protection

    • +4

yeah but if you carry a real dolphin, it's a $2000 fine, coz they're an endangered species.

So this really IS a bargain !!

    • congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
      your neg survived

    • if you plan to carry a knife around for protection then I suggest you leave the knife at home because "1" car keys clenched into your fist (like wolverine) is going to do more or the equivalent damage to someones face.

    • Same applies in NSW, its illegal to carry in a Public Place unless you have a good excuse:Section 11C of the Summary Offences Act 1988 states:

11C Custody of knife in public place or school

         1. A person must not, without reasonable excuse (proof of which lies on the person), have in his or her custody a knife in a public place or a school.
            Maximum penalty:
               1. 5 penalty units, or
               2. in the case of a person dealt with once previously for a knife-related offence-10 penalty units or imprisonment for 12 months, or both, or
               3. in the case of a person dealt with more than once previously for a knife-related offence-20 penalty units or imprisonment for 2 years, or both.
         2. Without limitation, it is a reasonable excuse for the purposes of this section for a person to have custody of a knife, if:
               1. the custody is reasonably necessary in all the circumstances for any of the following:
                     1. the lawful pursuit of the person's occupation, education or training,
                     2. the preparation or consumption of food or drink,
                     3. participation in a lawful entertainment, recreation or sport,
                     4. the exhibition of knives for retail or other trade purposes,
                     5. an organised exhibition by knife collectors,
                     6. the wearing of an official uniform,
                     7. genuine religious purposes, or
               2. the custody is reasonably necessary in all the circumstances during travel to or from or incidental to an activity referred to in paragraph (a), or
               3. the custody is of a kind prescribed by the regulations.
         3. However, it is not a reasonable excuse for the purposes of this section for a person to have custody of a knife solely for the purpose of self defence or the defence of another person.

      Rickroll alert.
If someone pulled these knives on me, I'd say "Woah dude, how much did that cost?" and we'd turn from a dangerous conflict to a "haha you cheapass" convo.

      • Lol, I thought as much, I don't click on tinyurls anymore coz they more often than not are Rickrolls! ;)

  • Bah, sold out.

    • +3

I think arcticmonkey & BargainMe bought them all! :p

      • +4

hey I bought many as well :)

Every knife bought is one knife less for terrorists after all

  • +2

Hah Bro this is good if you ever get attacked by a shark or if a dog chase you.

  • +3

For those wondering where their negative votes have gone, please read the voting guidelines. You're free to discuss what you think about knives, but that's your opinion and is not a valid reason to vote negative.

I'm sure most people are aware that criminals would use any instruments that can harm people as weapons, not just the Dolphin pocket knife. In fact, many items previously posted on OzBargain can be potentially used as a weapon. Common sense would tell us that the pocket knife posted is not intended to be used as a weapon. If it makes the negative voters happy, I've included a disclaimer in the main description.
