Damn! That's cheap. I bought this flashlight about a year ago over $30 with a discount code, and it's an amazing flashlight (as long as you buy those powerful, rechargeable batteries with the five digit name, can't remember what they're called).

Thanks OP, have been meaning to one of these for a while. Though I ended up grabbing one of each colour! (black + non-anodized).

Luckily my 18650 collection is almost the size of my eneloop collection!

I purchased this flashlight in the past for $30 like others have and it has served me very well. I think it's definitely worth the investment.
I got these with the flashlight as some people previously suggested to me:

    *Batteries
    *Clip
    *Charger

    • +1

Why the clip? Doesn't the light come with one already?

      • +1

It does come with one but I like this one better. It's more form over function if I'm honest and is not necessary at all.

      • +1

Yeah, it comes with a clip and it's sturdy and fine imo.

damn , only if this has charging ports…..

supfire a2 is what i am using. need another one…

    • +1

Most torches that have charging ports are not waterproof / water resistant, but there have been some with unique magnetic charging connectors, good however proprietary connecter, so if that cable breaks you're out of luck.

      • mine has rubber tabs on the micro usb port, it is not water proof, but should be fine in light raining. and i only use it in door..

i just hate to take the battery out and plug it into another proprietary cheapo charger that makes me feel like it is going to catch fire…

  • this is an awesome light.
I've had the 1A version for a good 6 months for use as a bicycle light.
Probably about as bright as a twin T6 LED light.
Plenty of power/flash modes to choose from.
I suggest you use it with a fairly decent 18650 cell, Panasonic or Samsung.

  • I bought one a year ago for $27.63 - so this is a good deal.

When you use the 18650 battery the brightest level is very bright - noting that it will turn itself off or down after 10 to15 minutes… but it is bright. I generally use it a few levels down and that is more than adequate for walking at night.

I just wish it had a zooming lens like some of the cheapies - the range would be fantastic.

  • Ah haven't seen many torches lately on ozbargain, then I realize I have this torch and don't really use it as often as the others as the "modes" are a pain and you do need a really good battery for it (which I do have) but it is a beast of a torch.

  • Great torch. Use a bike light with an exposure mount, bars for road, helmet for mtb.

  • I bought an Astrolux S1 (3D) from Banggood last year for $34. Spec wise is almost the same as this one, even the appearance looks the same (probably same product different name??) Very good torch! The 3D version IMO has the best lighting as it's not to white (Bluish) or too yellow…

    • +1

The Astrolux S1 and BLF A6 are almost identical, aside from the inclusion of an 18350 tube for the S1. Astrolux is the house brand for Banggood and they were instrumental in bring the BLF (Budget Light Forum) A6 to market.

  • Is it fine to use unprotected 18650 cells with this?

    • +1

It has low voltage protection apparently so should be fine. (Assuming you're using an appropriate charger.)

      • I have a Nitecore D2, it claims to have "over-charge prevention to protect batteries" which I'm guessing is right for these?

        • +1

I have a Nitecore I2 and have charged a variety of unprotected 18650s with no problems. I believe the D2 should be similar. I would suggest that you use "quality" 18650 cells in any case, not just the cheapest that you can find on BG or similar.

        • @s732: Ended up getting the recommended INR18650-30Q that rustledjimmies also posted earlier. Here's hoping they're genuine!

  • Good to see the Builder's Labourer's Federation branching out

  • Just ordered the 1A one. I needed one to replace a 10 year old (LOL) LED flashlight I bought at Bunnings. To think I was about to spend $50 or so today at Bunnings for 100lm, for the lm output of this one at half the price, crazy. Never ordered from here before, but no rush with shipping. And I vape, so I have a crap ton of 18650 and Nitecore and Trustfire chargers, I'm covered there.
