  • Good deal - but only if you can pick it up instore.

Do not get ANYTHING delivered from JB HI FI

they use TOLL who NEVER deliver anything, they never even try to see if anyone is home.
they just make you pick you up from their depot. VERY inconvenient.
Took me 3 weeks to get my last HD I got from JB.

Click and collect unavailable - Pass.

Send it to your work, maybe? That way there's always someone there.

      • Wish I could do that..

        • Ah. One of those places, ey? In that case, I suggest sending it to retired friends or family in the area.

          @flaminglemon:

Again, would if I could do that..

I just don't understand why they don't let you click and collect, it's ridiculous.
It'd save them the shipping costs yet they refuse.. SO weird.

@billyb67: Depends on where they stocked that, some warehouses cannot allow consumer pickup due to safety concern… I tried a few deliveries with "Troll", they live it up the name, half pizza box size item, 2 missed-you cards, send to local pickup point, shop wont fit in end up pickup at depot, well it's Door-to-door service from QLD to NSW took 17days, one more thing it's their door not yours.

    • I bought one on Tuesday night and it got delivered this morning with Toll. I live regionally as well.

    • When I wasn't home for delivery from Toll they left a calling card. I was then able to arrange a convenient alternate day for delivery and I could elect to have it delivered without anyone being home if I signed the card and consented to that. Never had a problem.

The 1200+ reviews of TOLL speak for themselves. https://www.productreview.com.au/p/toll-priority.html

Surely they do deliver SOME packages but that seems to be the minority.
Count yourselves lucky if you actually got something delivered from them.

I sat home all day one day expecting my delivery. I looked up the online tracking around 430pm, said they attempted delivery earlier that day. No card was left, no notification - nothing. I called up to arrange delivery another day. Waited home another full day, this time I found that they did leave a card around 3pm but never even attempted to contact me inside the property. How on earth am I supposed to know they are here, sit on my letterbox all day? Finally had to just give up on delivery & collect it from the depot, 15+km from my house.

Unbelievably useless company and the many, many, many negative reviews seem to back me up.

Don't get me wrong, I upvoted the deal, my problem is with Toll..

Wow really bad reviews and quite recent too.

Thanks for the reminder about Toll billyb. I have also had nothing but problems with Toll and their horrendous customer service. For me this is a real reason I will not order from a retailer who uses Toll unless I can click and collect.

      • I always deal with merchants who use Toll as courier, and yes they won't bother to check if anyone's home. They just knock your door once and leave the parcel there. That's why I always make sure I'm home whenever there's delivery from Toll. Good thing is they always come around the same time, everytime (10am for my area).

        • Strange - maybe it varies according to the delivery person. Every other courier company will leave at my front door. Only Toll causes issues for me!

Toll are the worst. The other week they literally claimed they couldn't deliver because there was a queue at my office's loading dock and he didn't have time to wait for a park.

the coop have it for $59.40 with membership, and you can use the $25 off $75 spend amex credit. (membership is $25, free shipping over $50)

    http://www.coop.com.au/search?keyW=WD%2520My%2520Passport%25…

    • Great tip chickenface! Note the co-op Amex deal falls under the "Mid Year Offer". If you do order from them, don't forget 6.4% Cashback from cashrewards!

  • Or you can go to office works to get that price beaten and pick one up if they have same one in stock?
