Just found this while browsing eBay for a hairdressing set but it looks targeted.

  • Your10 - 10% off the purchase price (excluding postage costs) when you spend $150 or more T&C's

  • Your20 - $20 off the purchase price (excluding postage costs) when you spend $100 or more T&C's

  • Your25 - $25 off the purchase price (excluding postage costs) when you spend $150 or more T&C's

Thanks kungbernard

Why don't I ever receive targeted emails?? Make sure to enable email subscriptions by entering My Account -> Settings -> Communication Prefs -> Promotions and Surveys at the bottom

Your20 - $20 off the purchase price (excluding postage costs) when you spend $100 or more
Your25 - $25 off the purchase price (excluding postage costs) when you spend $150 or more

    • +38

      Try using the search bar.

      • Have another upvote.

  • 16.66% off if your item is exactly $150 that is

    • however, not everyone got that 16.66% code.

      • Yeah just realised it's targeted

  • Santa hates me in July too - I'm not targeted

  • Just tried and none worked so it must be targeted.

  • should i wait for 15% 🤔
UPDATE: none worked for me :'(

  • +1

what is the easiest way to find out if you have been targeted? where can we see the vouchers?

    • +1

I got an email sent to me for $20 off a $100 minimum spend

      • Also got the $20, "Our Christmas in July Gift to you".

    • +6

It will show at the top of your "My eBay summary" page.

    • +1

Should be listed at the top of your "My Ebay" page.

Might have to choose classic site of on mobile

    • put the mouse cursor on " My ebay", if u have been targeted , u can see your coupon.

  • How can people find out eBay targeted offer?
    I never have one.

    • because they have been targeted.
      because you never get targeted.

      :)

    • +2

Go to your "My Ebay Summary". It will be listed in a "Vouchers" section in the Activity tab.

    • Make a new account, you'll get heaps of offers on that.

  • +4

      • +5

It's usually targeted to users who don't buy too much….which isn't OzB'ers in most instances

        • I bought heaps of stuff from eBay. Just spent quite a bit too recently actually. And now I'm getting the offer (totally unexpected). So yeah.. not sure.

        • If I was the one making the algorithm, I would be looking at past spending history and browsing habits
          ie
Buy a lot of small items -> Discount voucher with large minimum spend
Never buy anything -> Modest discount voucher
Never buy anything but browse alot -> Big discount voucher

Regularly buy big ticket items -> No soup for you!

        • +1

i've bought so much lately i can't even afford to use my voucher -_-

        • @outlander:
Okay, its not that, it's exactly that

My account (used frequently for small things) 10% of min spend $150
Family account (browses alot, rare purchase) $25 off $150 spend
Second account (v.rarely used) $20 off $100 spend

He's always right when it comes to eBay sales. Just like he predicted the eBay 20% off Amazon panic sale at least 4 times…. owait that never happened.

        • -2

Yep, my mistake for actually having faith in eBay and their incompetent marketing team that saves the best offers for first and the worst ones for last. I'll have to set my expectations even lower for next time.

        • @Orpheus: Yep. Amazon will kill eBay like Netflix killed piracy.

        • @Clear: lol you can at least compare apples with apples. How does Netflix offer better piracy than piracy?

        • @Orpheus: It doesn't. Netflix isn't the killer that many people said it would be.

        • @Clear: Netflix doesn't offer piracy, so how is it competing?

        • @Orpheus: It offers a cheap alternative way to watch content legally without piracy. Many people here said Netflix would kill piracy and Foxtel. I've yet to see that happen.

        • @Clear: Who said that? Because they arent even comparable. Sounds like something from an unreliable clickbait article where the author didnt really know what Netflix was at the time. One is a paid service, another is an illegal activity. That would be like saying when Amazon arrives in Australia, it will kill off shoplifting.

        • @Orpheus: More Oz said it'd be a killer of Foxtel which it hasn't. Same will be said about eBay and Amazon.

  • +2

I didn't use to get targeted but someone said you need to change your account settings to get promotional emails from ebay. I started getting them since.

    • +3

Not sure if this is true but I just enabled under Account > Communication Preferences > Promotions and Surveys .. just to be sure

    • +7

Yeah I got this YOUR20 code emailed to me and recently turned on general promotions. Not sure if I would've got it anyway and this way I just got an email about it (instead of having to test every code), or it actually prompted them to include my account for this targeted promo.

To turn on: My eBay > Account > Communication & Surveys > Promotions and Surveys > General email promotions <—— tick that.

      General email promotions
Send me emails about what's new and hot on eBay, great deals, special events, discount vouchers and other special offers.

I last purchased a few weeks ago and made 3 purchases all up in June.

      • my options on general email looks all greyed out with "Real time", not sure if that means not enabled or automatically enabled

    • +8

I included an animated GIF in the description. (900KB) Hopefully people can see it.

      • Thanks for your great effort.

    • Boo, no coupon. Just changed my email pref's as per above.

  • 4 accounts with eBay and confirmed that I've got all 3 offers.

    But nothing want to buy.

  • Only got Your20… since I'd be buying a prodyct worth $450…I'll wait for a better deal :/

  • got $20 off on $100 :D

  • Nada for me :(

  • Got the email too, though when I went to buy something on eBay, it had the voucher selectable so I didn't have to input anything. This is on the app btw.

  • +1

No voucher. Email subscriptions enabled. Never get targeted.
Can some of you ozbargain sleuths find out what it takes to get targeted?

    • +1

On the same boat, I buy too much. Literally a parcel every second day.
It might be targeted towards the people who don't buy so much.

      • I have bought quite a lot in the last few months. Two Galaxy S7s, a GAlaxy tab, smartwatch, some food, and some other useless junk.

, also sold quite a bit (a tablet, 2 phones, cases) I think it's just luck of the draw really.

      • I don't actually buy that much from ebay. Maybe one or two things a month. Frustrating. I just want to feel the love.

        • +1

I want some ebay love too 😀

      • I buy a lot from eBay using my account, and I use my wife's account only when there are targeted coupons like these :)

  • +1

Just bought something yesterday and would have saved $23 if I had this coupon. Well since I didn't get targeted I don't need to feel buyers remorse haha…

  • I got the Your20 offer on a seldom used account but it didn't come in via email until 10:48hrs.

It might be worth rechecking later today for those that have already done so…

  • +8

i got the code DIDNTGETSHIT again :(

    • +2

      the code is YOUR0 :)

  • Anyone know where the 10% off coupon tops out? If I spend a grand, do I get 10% off the full amount?

    • Just ordered an RX100 Mark IV. Got $120off with my voucher. See if the sale goes through. Once I get my TRS refund will bring it down to $982. Not bad for Aussie stock.

  • -1

    10% off $150 spend.
We are a spoilt bunch lately with ebay offers.
Don't be quick to complain considering the amounts we've saved through previous deals.

  • Gor 25$ off 150$. Dont know what to buy.

    • +2

      lots of eneloops.

  • +2

I should stop buying from Ebay and import more junk from Amazon so Ebay will remember me in their next targeted deal.

  • Your20 is the best of the three.

I got none of the offers though. I'm never in ebay's crosshairs.

    I have $5 off $10 spend, which I got a few days ago. It's a unique code.

  • more targets

I find Kmart better these days.

  • +1

    Waiting for 20% off

  • Dang, not targeted. I assume this was sent for those who don't spend a lot on ebay…

    • Not necessarily, I think. Got YOUR20 even though I spent maybe $1500 on 15 things including a Switch and a new phone since May 31.

  • I got $20 off $100. Also got an offer a few days ago where I would get a $10 voucher if I sold a video game.

  • +1

Getting annoyed with ebay. Either the codes wont work, or when they do, they cancel the transaction afterwards and help desk can't explain why. My loyalty to aliexpress is increasing.

    • try not to have different currencies in your cart.

      • yep they cancelled all Aussie dollar purchases - even after the money left paypal! They claimed all the vendors (4 of them around the world) must have all cancelled the orders at exactly the same moment and suggested I asked them why they cancelled the order. Geez! That would be an awesome trick.

    • Aliexpress is almost always cheaper anyway for buying unbranded tech stuff.

  • +2

    Amazon come swiftly.

  • i remember in the past, some of these coupons would work for multi-currencies, but not anymore.

it's also annoying when sellers list in €EUR or £GBP or U$D,..or other currencies EXCEPT in AUD.

    then, i can't use these coupons either,…

  • -1

Got the 20 dollar coupon, ended up with a UAP-AC-LITE for 107 delivered. Cheaper then Amazon

  • Do I have to sign up to some newsletter or something to receive these "targeted offers"?

I've been an eBay member since 2004, bought and sold many, many times, but not once have I received one of these offers. :o(

    • +1

Yes, it's opt in. If you opt out, you will get no vouchers and no coupons or offers. I already included a link in the description that shows you how (GIF image).

  • I've always been opted in, and checked my settings (thanks to the help in the OP), and I still get no offers!

  • got three codes. two 10% and one $20. no $25. :(

  • I need $20 off $100 spend. They sent me $25 off $150. Ummm, no thanks

    • You can't always get what you want.

      • But if you try sometimes

        • You get what you need! (can take a few days)

  • +1

Cheers OP got $20 off code.

Thx OP. Perfect for Samsung Evo+ 256gb microsd card @ $148.

  • Any recommendations on a reliable seller to buy xbox live subscription from ebay?

  • I've got it too!, it's time to get that Crumpler Skivvy M bag I've been eyeing for on Ebay.

  • some how YOUR20 is not working but If I add few more items fro ($150 Limit)then YOUR25 is working. :(
    Anybody know the reason?

    Thanks in advance..

  • Is it possible to buy two items and then use the voucher? example I put a $70 ITEM in cart and $30 item as well. Or is it for one thing only> thanks for any help
