Sony XB650BT Extra Bass Bluetooth Headphones $119 @ Myer (Using ANNIVERSARY20)

60
ANNIVERSARY20

Price is $139 but add ANNIVERSARY20 and get it for $119.

A nice set of headphones with Bluetooth and NFC features. Plenty of bass but also crisp mids and highs. Lightweight and easy to wear for hours. I can attest to the quality and durability (I have the next model up which is very similar).

Other features:

  • up to 30 hours battery life
  • one-touch listening
  • swivel ear cups for portability

I combined mine with this sweet case from Amazon. They fit perfectly!

  • Nice headphones, if there was anymore of those ebay coupons, could have grabbed a bargain. These are nowhere near the RRP price on ebay.

  • I can vouch for these.

Bought the missus a pair for XMAS last year when JB had the same sale.

    Going strong.

  • Kogan price: $189
    Ebay best price: $159
Couldn't find on OW or HN.

Also available at Myer same price as JB.

    • +2

Apply Myer's ANNIVERSARY20 coupon and make it $119

      • Link to OB deal for this code. Will update post.

        • Thanks to mods for changing URL, now title reflects cheaper price.

Props to rh for the heads up.

  • Wouldn't call the highs 'crisp'… They sound quite veiled to my ears and lack detail, especially compared with the ZX330 and ZX770BT's (not the most fun sounding). Plenty of bass though. Would probably be better off buying one of Bluedio's higher end sets with this sort of money IMO.

~$125 shipped from Amazon (obviously can't compare with local stock).

    • I hear ya. People can read some reviews, but here is someone else that agrees based on my model:

"The treble is a bit lacking but very clear for $200 in a wired headphone, yet once again I keep forgetting this is a Bluetooth headphone. That general consensus of terribly awful upper ends in BT sets is washed away as Sony sets the bar higher than anyone else has thus far. I have a new Sennheiser Urbanite on ear here that is roughly the same price, it doesn’t compare on the top end to the Sony’s clarity, nor does it compare to how well the top end is portrayed in a physical sense."

      • That's referring to the XB950BT (they are a great set, I'll agree). This is the 650, which sounds completely different.

        • Refer to my post and reply.

        • @swapsey:

The 950 sells for ~$250 here, and isn't comparable in any way to the 650, so it's not fair to make a comparison. You can't make a judgment of the 650's sound or comfort based on the 950…

The 650's aren't bad, but imo, there are better options out there.

        • @donnot: Like I said, people can read reviews for themselves and yes, there are people on this thread that vouch for the 650 quality. I have tried both in store when I purchased, did notice a difference in the range that's why I paid more for the 950s. But the 650s are no slouches!

The Bluedios you recommended only get 4 stars on Amazon btw. I would be careful what you suggest, people will get disappointed with low quality manufacturers.

  • I don't think I need this.

  • I posted this deal a while back.

    I'm enjoying the headphones… Using them right now… 😀

    • Nice. Missed that one. My original was for JB but then rh posted the 119 price via Myer and we changed the deal.

I love the Sony bt cans too.

  • I bought this last time from Myer. Waited 2 weeks and when the box finally arrived it was empty.

Myer were pretty apologetic and ended up refunding me. Was super pissed because it only did it take 2 weeks, I ended up missing out on so many other deals thinking that mine was in the mail.
