  • Yeah not bad but I'm holding out for a good 1080p

    • Good luck waiting for that to happen in the next 2 years

      • There are loads of them? I'm just waiting on a good deal.

        • Not for $199 you wont.

        • @bchliu: I've no idea why you're negging me, I never said $199 for a 1080p?

        • @Where's_That_Cake: Apologies. I cannot revoke it anymore.

    What are the specs?

    • +9

They're the things you'll need to put on your eyes after watching the jaggies on this on a 100" screen.

      (1200x800 resolution)

      • woah. that resolution looks like ass when projected big. I mean the bad ass not hot ass btw

Only after revealing all personal info.

    Looks like scam so far

    • Not a scam. It's soniq.

    • +3

yeah, tell them to ship it first and then you'll give them your address ;)

    • +2

Imagine the sheer hide of them wanting to know where you live before calculating shipping! Outrageous.

      • Don't most other places just need a postcode?

        • These guys want to know how many steps there are to your front door!

    • So can someone who has handed over their address (and alarm code) tell us how much shipping is?

      • +2

$20 posted to Melbourne (postcode 3155)

  • Anyone know how much a replacement 'projector bulb thingy' would be for one of these, and roughly how long each bulb will last? Projectors used to be a potentially attractive (but not cheap) option for smallish rooms, back when large-screen TVs were almost box-shaped (i.e. took up a lot of space). But now in this age of cheap large flat-screen TV's, why would you get a projector?

    • I thought this had an LED bulb so will last for ages? I think your comment about flat screen TVs very true, I am interested in projectors mainly because of the way they make me feel - it's much more fun having a movie night with a projector for some reason, maybe partly because of cinema and all the fond memories there.

  • Just bought an aaxa refurb for ~$350 with similar specs. Guessing most mini projectors are using the same TI DLP chips. decent if you just want cheap big screen.

  • Thinking of getting one for using at work for PowerPoint, excel presentations. Any idea if this would be good enough? Currently our work projectors are the same resolution and some are pretty old and always booked out so handy to have my own

    • Yes, but maybe consider dell. They might be brighter for office lighting.
