You BET it is!! Don't we have enough gambling already.
What a SCAM!
Highest Unique Bid wins. Auction ends when the "Bids Remaining" is equal to 0.So, for example, the $500.00 cash up for bids currently has a bidding fee of $10 and the remaining number of bids is 120. Assuming this is the maximum number of bids - they get 120 X $10 = $1,200 + the amount of the highest bid. Subtract the initial cash money and they get $700+ in profit just for that item alone. :(
Hey! Everybody makes profit. How much do you think it costs Cadbury to make a Freddo? And how much is Safeway charging for it?
And if you look at some of the items on their site, for example, the $500 cash…people have a 1/120 chance of getting the "item" for just over $10. Not bad odds, considering the odds at the horse races, pokies, lottery tickets. How much do you spend on lottery tickets, or raffle tickets, etc. Ok..so perhaps it works like gambling. Life itself is a gamble. As for me, I have signed up. Who knows, I might just win the big screen tv. :)Happiness is a choice.
Sure. No problem for me with that! Everyone is entitled with his/her own opinion.
Except I myself do not see it as a bargain. If I am paying $10, I would expect to get something out from it, not that only 1/120 chance I can win the auction…
But no free bidding?
In my dictionary, highest unique bid = gambling
Might as well buy lottery tickets :)
