    Your prices are in USD.
GOG also has AUD prices which would make it easier to gauge for everyone what's a good deal to them imo.

    • oops sorry I must be using the VPN

You should be able to change it, no matter what your location is, via a dropdown box at the bottom of the page. :)

      GOG supports regional pricing… boooooooooooo

      • +2

You will find for most of the games currency conversion is close to XE rates but then there will be some of the exceptions out there.

Newer games tend to be cheaper for Australians on GOG as opposed to Steam. Often a $20 US game on Steam will be $20 AU on GOG.

      • +1

Regional pricing on Steam is worse.

Not only is the game more expensive, it's also in USD…

        • If I was to buy Witcher 3 on GOG, why do I get money off my next purchase? Oh wait, they don't want to offend AU sellers so they make the price higher and then give you a discount on your next purchase.

@Vladdo: actually I would say it would be because The Witcher is by CDPR, who also operate GOG.

Purchase their game, get a discount on their store… why the conspiracy?

        • @Chandler: No conspiracy. No other country gets the 'discount'.. just offer us the same price that every other 1st world country gets it for.

Just getting sick and tired of all these companies adding AU tax because they can get away with it.

        • @Vladdo: TBH, I haven't looked at the pricing myself, but I understand what you mean now.

But is it AU Tax, or is it CDPR/GOG pandering to their Australian distributors (i.e. not undercutting the brick & mortar sellers)?

        • @Chandler: As a consumer, I don't care who they're trying to appease. I just would have expected better from someone like GOG who does most things right.

That said, whenever I do buy from GOG, I use a VPN to Russia.. Two can play at the regional protectionist BS..

  • Thanks, Search Alert on Transistor finally gets a hit! Game looks great.

  • I'm hooked on Torchlight II again
