$3.90 is way too expensive for onigiri. Cooked rice with some seasoning shouldn't cost that much.

They won't get far with those prices, onigiri is probably one of the easiest Japanese foods to make.

100 yen max for a basic one. Even the fanciest are 200 yen so about $2.40 currently.

this is just rice with seaweed and seasoning. some have cut bits of cut salmon or tuna inside but other than that its boring
