    What the….

"Support iOS 8.0 / Android 4.4 smartphones with Bluetooth 4.2, based on the original software, but not necessarily compatible with other romantic photo software"

    • lol…Copied the GB product description without proof reading first will edit post.

  • How does it compare to Xiaomi? I keep missing out on those deals because they sell out in minutes.

Battery life is 7 days, which is a lot less than Xiaomi's 25 days.

I see that the clock display is sideways.. wtf?

    • How does it compare to Xiaomi? I keep missing out on those deals because they sell out in minutes.

      It's ≈AU$26.88 here: http://www.lightinthebox.com/smart-bracelet-long-standby-wat…

      • Is Lightinthebox trustable? I heard they take ages to receive from.

If so, it's a done deal.

        • Typical Asian speeds, not super fast but it eventually arrives. I bought mine from there and have no complaints.

    • Don't think alot of people would have both this and the Xioami Miband 2 - at least not yet.

I had a look at this it seems to have minor advantages over the Miband but battery life is not one of them. It does charge via standard Micro USB which is a nice change from propriety chargers on many fitness bands/watches.

      • Do you know if the clock is permanently on, or does it only turn on when you press the button? For both models.

I like the look of this more than the Miband. I like how I don't have to take the unit out of the band to charge it. But the clock is on sideways which is awkward.

The miband's watch band does not look secure. It is missing that loop which keeps the band tucked inside. I might lose it while running. If it has a knob that goes into the hole, won't it dig into your wrist? Still would not be secure.

        • Either pressing the button or raising your wrist will display the clock for both models.

If I didn't already have the miband I would jump on this as you can't read the miband 2 display in direct sunlight, it is too dim. According to the reviews the HW01 can be read in direct sunlight.

Also some of the reviews mention the HW01 is more accurate and has a bigger battery, it doesn't last as long because of the continous heart rate monitoring (every 15 min) the miband doesn't have that feature. If you turn that feature off battery standby time should be similar.

        • @adr8:

Totally agree regarding the display with the Miband 2. It was a nightmare to read the display on sunny days. Particularly during summer.

With the band itself, I've found it to be secure despite the lack of a strap buckle. The clip doesn't dig into your wrist and it's never come off unless I got it caught somewhere. In my opinion, that's better than the strap ripping and safety wise.

    • I think it would come down to personal preference. Both are decent watches for the price.

IMO the Mi Band 2 would be a better option, the battery life is fantastic. I'm able to actually shower without taking the watch off, very handy. And the app is quite nice, simple and functional.

i'm also reticient to buy any of these fitness watches where the band isnt interchangeable

once the band fails ur fooked, no one seems to have learned that lesson, not fitbit microsoft pebble etc.

the mi band has the advantage that it uses very cheap replaceable bands

i dont know why Xiaomi was able to get something so fundamental right but everyone else so wrong

How often have you changed the band on the mi band 2? I have had mine for 2 years I think and the band is still fine. By the time the band needs replacing the battery will probably be stuffed and I will need a new fitness tracker anyway.

        • Are other fitness trackers' bands not replaceable?

          @adr8:

          2 yrs you say?

          Release date‎: ‎June 7, 2016

          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xiaomi_Mi_Band_2

also you'll find that people dont mind spending a coupla bucks on a new band in a variety of colours

        • @tonyjzx: I thought about 2 years, it hasn't even been a year lol… can't believe I have had it for less than a year.

I won it on here from one of the Gearbest competitions think it was 11.11 competition and got it for $11 so that would be November 2016

I also have a couple of replacement bands still in their packaging :)

  • Does anyone have any issues receiving opened box orders from GB?

  • Battery Standby: up to 2 Days

That kind of sucks. A bluetooth cheststrap will go months on a button cell.

That must be a typo, just checked it again and its 7 days standby according to the reviews.

If you switch off the continous heart rate monitor you should get significantly better battery life, I would rather a display I can read in direct sunlight, battery standby doesn't concern me that much I would just charge it at night as I don't wear it when I sleep.

They are selling well as the deal was posted on hotukdeals also. I have been watching the units remaining and since last night 400+ units have sold, the counter even reset this afternoon.
