  New card? Hadn't seen a 256GB Sandisk before.

  No mention of write speed. So probably not great.

  anyone found any speed tests for this 256GB version?

  can't seem to find any for this card in particular, only for the 128GB and 200GB versions.

  edit: actually, one review says:

  "Using A1 SD bench on Huawei Mate 9 it got 22mb write and 63mb read speed. I was hoping for a better write speed. Total capacity available is 238GB."

  that's all i could find.

  Speeds are probably similar to the 128GB/200GB variants since its under the 'Ultra' Branding.

    Sandisk have been leapfrogged by Samsung. Not only have they had 256GB long ago, it is much faster.

        Yeah just don't know what's taken Sandisk this long to make 256GB, and it's only an "ultra".
